But i have stopped myself from posting wwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyy much more becuase i stopped…. searched for someone elses theory…. and then look on lostpedia.com, before wasting my time with a new post. Most of the hare-brained theories have had, i have debunked on my own with just a little research. I use lostpedia.com as an example because at that site, there is some person(people) with way more time on their hands than me to get all the crazy little details sorted out for the rest of us fans. All the little who said what when and where and durring which episode is there. Even things i have never even noticed or ever thought about the show.( i learned about the Orchid video and the Sri Lanka video there for the first time) The characters names( not just “eye patch guy”) and every person they have been connected to. Most of the answers to a lot of these theories can be found there, and here written by someone else if you use the search, and take the time to read a little.
Now i am pretty new to this site, and have had nothing but fun for the longest time. All of us enjoy this site, or else we would never come back. So lets keep it fun. Keep it new and exciting.
P.S. I am in no way affiliated with lostpedia. I know there are other similar sites out there. That is just the one i use. This is not a personal thing angainst any person or persons.
Besides, we all have a month before new episoedes. Lets all rewatch a few from the first seasons!
I agree with the overposting, But part of the fun of this site is interacting and enjoying other theorists comments on a certain topic on the show. I have written my own complaint before http://lost-theories.com/theories/2008/mar/18/please-help-us-out/ and I am not saying that we shouldn’t put some thought into our posts, but in the end it’s all in fun. My problem are the trolls and theories that are so off base there is no way it could pan out as being true. Also the 150 post about who the Oceanic 6 are that are still going on even after all we have seen [the preview at the end of “Meet Kevin Johnson” makes it crystal clear who they are].
My first line got lost.

Lateralus, you are exactly right. I would estimate that 3 out of every 4 posts on this site are either old theories that we have already beaten to death, “not theories”, questions, duplicates, or just flat out BS.
If everyone would either seach this site or search Lostpedia before posting every random thing you notice on the show we would have a lot less “worthless” posts.
BTW, I am not afraid to flag posts as “not a theory”. For example, someone below (Blubber) had 7 posts in an hour. I flagged all of them just to get them off the board. They were obviously not thought out. They all had terrible ratings.
I would suggest that everyone not hesitate in flagging non-theories as non-theories. Get them off the “latest” page where many of us go to look what is going on.
Maybe someone needs to create www.lost-irrelevant-questions-and-stupid-observations.com for these people…

While I agree with the post, this one also is not a theory, so in order to stay in lockstep with the OCD’s I’m flagging it “not a theory”.
