Michael sure didn’t want Sayid and Dez to know he was on the boat……
He hesitated to walk up to them initially, and then was in the engine room, seeming to want to stay away from Sayid and Dez. It just doesn’t make sense for him to try to help them, when he doesn’t benefit from it at all. I think we will find out that it actually WASN’T Michael who tossed the note in the door. The handwriting was completely different than the suicide note, too. I know it was in elaborate capitals, but the penmanship was way off. Anyway, feel free to tear this apart, ( As has been this sites M.O lately!! )

I actually agree with you, for the same reasons you give. Maybe Regina wrote the note? She seemed pretty paranoid overall. (See, no cutting to pieces. Do you forgive me?)
i also posted a theory about it, how it wasnt shown in his flash back considering it was quite important
I concur.
ozzig…….Now I can release this breath I’ve been holding for a few weeks!!!
I had this crazy idea that Walt followed his dad and stowed away somehow. That could explain the note and the noises on the pipes. But thats a big stretch i think.
Agreed. Frank possibly? He seems to have an empathy with the Losties
MrBLU, definitely you should release your breath.
As soon as we didnt see who put the note through, and I assumed it to be Micheal, I knew it couldnt be lol
I think your spot on :)
i personally thought it may have been the captain himself. theres a strong feeling that hes actually working for ben. and the reaction he gave when he was told about michael wasnt exactly normal.
so maybe he did it himself to let them know hes not who he seems.
it doesnt make much sense for it to be micheal but who else could it have been? frank already said that he didnt do it didnt he? or was it the leaving the door open thing that he said he didnt do… if micheal did do it, maybe his reasoning was that he didnt want sayid and des to trust the captain because somehow he thought that they would be less likely to blow his cover by telling the captain if they didnt trust him?…but that didnt work out anyway
Mr. B: I agree with you about the handwriting. It did resemble that of a “serial killer”, lol.
However, I am unconvinced that it wasn’t Michael who would have every reason to disguise his handwriting, and not get noticed by Sayid and Des, in the process of sliding the note under the door.
I think if we were to make good argument for who could have slipped the note under the door, other than Michael, would be Frank Lapidus. He would disguise his handwriting in case the note were intercepted, and he certainly seems to have sympathy for Sayid and Des. I don’t view Frank as being loyal to the Cappie’s cause.
why would frank do it? he doesnt know the captain isnt who he says he is. frank is neutral in this.
mclark, You are entitled to disagree, no problem. I happen to subscribe to the belief that Frank may not be that loyal to the Captain, because he has an ulterior motive for being on this mission.
He knows that the body shown in the wreckage on TV was not that of his friend. So, I think he is there to uncover what really happened to #815. Just a thought which may or may not be accurate.
I think it was Michael. Just because he didn’t want to confront them doesn’t really mean anyhting. He is probably embarrased to see them face to face because he stabbed them in the back when he turned in Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. He probably wanted to drop the note anonomously.
good point :)
good job MB2u
Irrespective of Michael’s feelings about Sayid and Des, he would not want them shouting “Hi, Mike. How you Doin’?” across the freighter. He would want to speak to them alone first.
I don’t think the note was from Mike either. Could it have been from Regina?
Regina had obviously been up to something when Frank approached (reading the book upside down).
I think the note was from Mike. I also think it was Mike that opened the locked door to allow them access to the computer room. (Unless you think two different helpers perpetrated these two acts! Which I most certainly don’t.)
The only reason he didn’t want Sayid speaking to him was because the Captain and crew were all around to watch; the moment Mike was given any recognition his cover would have been blown.
Sometimes what is put in front of your face is not a mirage, or an optical illusion or a trick. Sometimes what something looks like is actually what it is. I think this is one of those times.
Did anyone hear what Sayid said before he read the note. Something about Ben going to the freighter a few days before they got there.
WHAT THE ……….was that about?!?!?!
