Carl’s really dead, maybe Rousseau…

The actor that plays Karl is going off to star in a Broadway play for six months. He’s sure his character has been killed off, but he doesn’t know about Rousseu. He says he has “a sense” that we haven’t seen the last of her.

He also said there was a deleted scene from 4.08’s ending, where the snipers are revealed to be persons dressed in very elaborate jungle camoflage.

From his comments it sounds like Ben wasn’t trying to kill any of them off - he says he thinks that Ben was sincerely trying to protect Alex. But he can’t be sure because of the secrecy surrounding the production.

From the official podcast, episode 4.09 will be titled, “The Shape of Things to Come”. From various sources, it appears that it will be a Ben/Sayid centered episode, in part located in war-torn Tikrit, Iraq, and that a funeral procession for Sayid’s wife (who he says was killed by a coalition bomb during Desert Storm) will be shown. Both Sayid and Ben will appear in the Iraq scene(s).

From another set report, the info is that one of the Barracks houses is set on fire, with military men in camo and face paint storming the enclave. Not sure if this is in 4.09 or a later episode, though. Sawyer was seen talking to a group of children; also seen were Locke and Hurley.

I don’t think Rousseau is dead either. The producers have vowed to give her a centric episode with her own flashbacks. They’ve never done one of a dead character. Maybe the island will heal her?

    +1 for the info

i don’t think Rousseau is dead either. And i think Alex is now in the hands of Ben’s enemies. Emphasis was placed on such an idea, both by Ben’s concern and Alex’s statement.

As I recall, Sayid agreed to join the torture unit of the Republican Guard when he is reminded that his wife (and child, I think) were killed by American bombs. So the funeral for his wife would be a flashback, I think, unless he gets off the Island, goes back to Iraq, marries, and then his wife is killed.

    spoiler!!!!!

unless he gets off the Island, goes back to Iraq, marries, and then his wife is killed. Veefre… I hear that is what happens.Apparently the wife is Nadia. The death of Nadia ties into why Sayid ends up working for Ben. So it’s an FF.

Come on people. Why do you just copy this crap from other websites and write it here when it’s not a theory. Give a link to the E! website or to darkufo or to docartz or to one of the other sites. Don’t just regurgitate it here. It just wastes space and pushes the theories off the page.

Um, I clearly state in the title of the thread that it’s a spoiler.

So I don’t see your problem.

Chuck, Veefre very clearly stated in his title that it was a spoiler.

Yes, it is helpful to add links, but there’s no reason why spoilers can’t be posted here as long as they are titled as such.

Annie, my point is it is not a theory AND serves no purpose except to provide spoiler information. If a theory contains a spoiler, by all means post it with appropriate warnings in the title. Veefre has actually posted some interesting, thoughtful theories — but his posting information that is easily available elsewhere, has no “theory” value, and also contains spoilers – well, I would rather keep that somewhere else.

In my view, this site works best when people stick to theories and not posting information available in dozens of other places. If I am looking for factual summaries and canonical information, I look to lostpedia. If I am looking for teasers or spoilers, I go to darkufo or docartz, if I want a general message board — well there are dozens and dozens. If I want to consider theories, I come here. This is not a theory and just pushes more appropriate content further down.

    Chuck,

If you see a thread with the word “Spoiler” or “Spoilage” in the title, just don’t read it, ok?

And if you’ve ever posted your own theories, you’ll see that the definition of a theory here is very broad - it includes “a bit of speculation about a character”, for example.

Here is the “Official” definition of a theory on this site:

” Note that a “theory” can be anything from a full-blown, evidence-backed, sweeping theory about the show, a small bit of speculation on a particular character, event, theme, etc., or even a creative bit of “fan fiction” about the future of the LOST story.”
