Firstly if charles had planted the plane he would have had to fill it with bodies. The bodies on the fake plane looked quite fresh if you know what i mean if they had been digging up all those bodies from graves they would most likely be all skeletal.
Ben could have killed all the others the ones that left there little house things and filled the plane with that .

Well - yes, Ben could have planted the plane, but I don’t think he would have killed his own people.
Good point to you! The bodies we saw on the plane did not look like grave fodder. +1
They never stated how old the graves were that the bodies were taken from, how long they were buried, etc. Depending on different conditions in the environment and burial procedures like embalming, the bodies could be preserved for a long time instead of being skeletal.
From what I’ve seen, Otherville did not have a population of 325, it looked more like a hundred at most, especially when they are trekking to the Temple (as in the scene where Locke is supposed to kill his father at the column ruin).
Bakunin good point but could it be possible to dig up enough graves to get 325 bodies that all look in similar condition
I just find it interesting that both sides (Ben & Widmore’s captain) are claiming the other planted the crash.
I’m on the side that even though Ben does “bad” things, he actually IS one of the good guys.
Remember what he said to Michael at the end of season 2? I have a gut feeling that wasn’t BS.
I think Widmore planted the crash and we were given documentation evidence to prove the story and explain it.
It’s a good enough explanation.
And if you don’t buy it, I have to ask: What will you buy? How would you explain Ben managing to get a fake plane down there filled with bodies? Given we know most of what he has been up to on the Island since the plane crash?
