I would like to say too that i love Lost, but i also hate it… is like a really spicy food that you want to eat even if you are burning your mouth off. I think that this theory phenomenon is really something new in tv shows, so many people trying to find answers… But the thing about Lost is that is a TV SHOW, not a scientific experiment…
in the end thats important because the producers/writers/network are not obligated to proof a scientific theorie or explain everything rationally ( i would be amaze if the manage to do that, it would be like a new phisics era). A think many of the losties fans will be very upset when the show ends, there will be a lot of cool answers, but also we will have to deal with the tv show part of it…i mean the magical realismus. The writers had already given a pair of hints that faith is important in the show too, and faith mean believing without scientific proof. I think we have to enjoy the fact that is not reality. But in the meantime i cant wait to the next episode…probably it will bring and answer and 4 new questions!
I often think about how we may be over-analyzing it…but I think in the past it’s been proven that careful theorizing can bring about correct predictions.
I too have wondered if we are setting the expectations too high by participating in sites like this. But I still love it.
I agree with your post….but who cares, its soo much fun to connect with people over a silly TV show. Dont ya think? Lol. heres a +1, cuz you made me laugh with your food analogy.
I just wish I knew who the final Cylon is. Oops, wrong site.
