Anybody besides me notice that the Losties never celebrated Halloween?
Now, why might that be?
Could it be that the Island has enough scary stuff to make Halloween look rather tame?
I mean, how many times has a monster made out of NYC bus fumes grabbed you by the ankle and dragged you and your bag of treats down the avenue?
How often do you run across an evil Gollum like troll named Ben who masterminds all sorts of unpleasantries (no fair submitting your boss’s name here)?
Moreover, so far we haven’t seen a single doorbell on the Island. That alone would make trick or treating extremely improbable…

Nothing to do with Lima Beans then?
And have you been drinking?
Joking aside, maybe the paralysing spiders have a larger role to play in the story than first meets the eye?
Not in the way you suggest but you could actually be on to something.
How odd.
I edited this theory to something completely different (after I discovered it’s already been discussed ad nauseum, or close to it), and yet after multiples of five minutes, nothing has changed.
Must be karma.
Ah, that’s more like it.
good points. I also assume they had nothing to be thankful for, and were on the naughty list at christmas
Well, I didn’t see any Native Americans bearing fish and rice to the beach, nor did I see any snowmen saying “smells like carrots”, so you may be right about that as well.
OceanicJC, you may be closer than you think with the spider reference…
