In the sneak previews available on ABC.COM, we see more about what’s happening with the freighter and Michael
Michael is going by the name “Kevin Johnson”. In the preview, we see Captain Gault catching and severely beating two crew members who are trying to take the inflatable raft off the freighter. He says it’s for their own good, “Remember what happened to Minkowski? Nobody leaves this freighter without my permission!”. He then orders Michael “Johnson!” to “clean up this mess”. Sayid confronts Michael and demands to know what Michael is doing on the freighter. Michael’s answer is a bit enigmatic:
“I’m here to die”.
In the trailer for the next epidode, we see Michael agonizing over something. Then we see a hand hit a red flashing button, then everything goes white - as if there is an explosion.
Does Michael try to blow up the freighter? Is that how he plans to die?
In the other sneak preview, we see Locke’s group gathered in his house in the Barracks, including Ben. Locke brings in a bound Miles, and gets Miles to tell what his mission is, “To get Ben”. Ben then reveals that the freighter mission, after then get him, is to kill everyone on the island. One of the losties demands to know who his man is on the freighter. Ben’s response: “Michael”.
We also see men with tatoos (freighter crew?) shooting automatic assault weapons. The summary for the episode says Ben tries to get Alex away from the barracks because he expects an attack.
Anyway, that’s about it for now. Looks like things are starting to heat up a bit.

bull
whats ur problem thesaddo u have wrote this on several posts have some respect and +1 for this things are cetainly hotting up lol
hahahahaha. I love that thessaddo is like the slow kid in class that can’t say anything intelligent.
As for the post…I am VERY pumped for the next episode. I too saw the previews on abc.com and it looks like we’ll finally get some answers! Why on earth would the freighter’s mission be to kill everyone on the island and take ben? I just can’t imagine, but I bet it’s going to be an “Ah ha!” moment!
+1 for reminding me to be excited
Also: HAPPY ST. PATTY’S DAY!!!
So far it looks like Ben is the one full of bull.
Charlotte and Daniel managed to deactivate the poison gas stores that Ben could have potentially used. Remember, he has a history of mass murder by gas (patricide included, no less). That action alone would seem to indicate that the freighter’s mission is NOT to kill everyone. After all, if they wanted to do that, they simply could have released the poison gas there and then. Bye bye losties.
It does seem like Michael is under Ben’s control, and that he’s going to try to blow up the freighter in order to thwart Ben’s capture.
The assault weapons though are a bit disturbing. Who are they shooting at, and why?
And where are all the rest of the Others? Supposedly holed up in the Temple station, awaiting further orders. What is the Temple? I envision some sort of Borg-like refueling station, lol. Or a library of souls. Or maybe just some big holographic projection machine.
Oh, and almost forgot.
There is another view of the ship’s bow, and the ships name “Kahana” is partially obscured/blurred. I am wondering if this means it was painted over with something else. Can’t tell what that something else might be, though. It looked also like it could be a deliberate blurring of the name by the series - does it say something they don’t want us to know about just yet?
Thanks Veefre. I like spoilers but I’m too lazy to go looking for them myself . I can see Mickael doing as you say and being there to die. He seemed so subdued, not just embarrassed at seeing Des and Sayid.
