In “Ji Yeon” when the Freightor’s doctor takes Sayid and Desmond down to their new sleeping quarters he says that “it’s in the quiet part of the ship.” To which Sayid replies, “but the ships not moving.” Then the doctor said, “that’s what you think…” Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what, if anything, he could have meant by that.

Ray’s actual reply to Sayid is, “Well, if you say so.” Regardless it’s an odd statement. I’m not sure what to make of it at this point TheDude.

The practical answer would be the doctor was aware the ship was drifting, in some fashion… but that’s not a very spectacular or interesting response. Like you, I think there was definitely something being hinted at there.

lockeko, i’d put a lot of dollars on it being Ray. I think that was his name at least. Nonetheless, the man that went on the mini-boat with Minkowski. He was never confirmed to have gone the same way as Minkowski, just acting abnormal, probably culminating in his suicide. However, I really don’t think that will ever be addressed and will be lost to speculation cause it doesn’t really matter all that much.
