Just a bit of a theory regarding the visit Abbadon made to Hurley in the institute.
When he asks Hurley if he would like to go to a better institute is it possibpe that he means return to the island???? Maybe not but just an idea. Also i think Jack wants to return to the island because Ben has a hold on Juliet and is keeping her prisoner. Jack could be on Bens list to kill as he loves Juliet and is athreat to Ben Also in relation to Jin i believe he really does die.If he really were dead why would Hurley and Jack visit is grave if the grave was fake?? If they really knew he was alive they would not visit the grave
just a few ideas

Not sure what Abbadon meant but whatever it was Hurley didn’t take it that way. As for your second point Jack didn’t visit Jin’s grave it was only Hurley and just because Hurley showed up it doesn’t mean that Jin is actually dead. I am sure he had some interest in seeing the baby as well as possibly making sure that whoever is watching (and there are obviously people watching, like Abbadon) believes Jin is dead. Remember in the delivery room Sun acted as if Jin were alive, now this could have been explained by the drugs she was given but it could also be explained by…well… Jin being alive! The Dr. was not Sun’s doctor and maybe, after the fact, she was worried about what she said in the delivery room in front of a person that was not familiar to her. Perhaps she is trying to convice any one who is watching that Jin is dead.
They visit the grave to keep the lie going.
