Has anyone noticed that the flashforwards started out in the distant future and are moving backwards in time to the rescue? First we have Jack’s flash at the end of season 3. He has a beard, he’s a drunk, he wants to go back to the island ect. The oceanic 6 are no longer famous for being rescued, the guy in the pharmacy says he saw Jack on the news pulling people out of a burning car. Next comes Hurley’s- he gets thrown in a mental facility where Jack sees him. No beard yet (he looks rather unshaven), but he’s thinking about growing one. Also the reporters have stopped bothering Jack.
Next is Sayid’s flashforward, no Jack around to help time stamp but the fact that 2 people comment on Sayid being familiar, but not immediately recognizable places this flash well after the next flashforward which belongs to Kate. Aaron seems to be about 2 years old in this one, also giving enough time for a proper trial ect. Jack is sober and clean shaven here too. I figure this is about 2006 with the preceding flashforwards happening afterwards. Sun’s flashforward is the latest flashforward happening 6-7 months after the rescue, July 2005 or there abouts. On a side note, Jin’s was a flashback. STOP posting on it. There are several reasons we know its a flash back… he works for Paik which is owned by Sun’s father, doubt he would work there still if he devorced Sun. Its the year of the dragon, 2000 or 2012, obviously 2000 by the next piece of evidence, his giant oldschool cell phone. I haven’t seen one that big in 5 years.
I’m wondering the significance of having the flashforwards count down chronologically. Perhaps the rescue episode will have near immediate flash forwards that converge on a set point… no real theory here, just bringin attention to this. Hope someone can figure it out

I believe someone else noticed this about a month ago.
Veefre says that this may have been noticed a month ago… good insight to that author as there was much less evidence back then to jump to my conclusions. I’ve only been reading this site for a few weeks so please forgive my treading on their theory. Please pay close attention to forthcoming flashforwards to see if the trend continues.

I think you may be right … the concept offers a nice symmetry ~ ~ ~ season 1 moving forwards and season 6 moving “backwards” so they converge at a point in time.
