…and really, who wants a bloody nose?

From 4.05, the Constant, we see what can happen to people traveling off the island, “mind-jumping” so to say. But if you can’t find a constant (i.e. Penny for Desmond), then you are screwed; and really, who wants a bloody nose?
We know that Daniel has been subject to high amounts of radiation, especially to his head. What if while traveling to the island, the same thing happened to him and he “jumped” (for lack of a better term with the new movie Jumper out; just to similar) back to the scene where he is crying in the television set. Remember, it cut back to the helicopter scene awfully fast, kinda like how Desmond jumped back to 2004 from 1996. He didn’t know why he was crying, very similar to how Desmond would feel effects from the future in his past and vise versa. BUT what if when he got onto the island, that all went away and was left with minor side effects, like memory loss (with the cards)? What if he started mind-jumping way earlier, like when he was on the boat, hence the Doc on the boat saying, “Faraday can’t even help himself!” because he’s had these symptoms before but couldn’t figure out how to fix it, leading the Doc to believe that he can’t fix others. Remember he has that memory loss for extended things past cards on the island, like even Minkowski’s name and that other girl on the boat. I think he might even forget Miles’s name on the island when he sees him down by the rocks (our intro to him).
Just a thought. Please give thoughts and feedback.
I think I have Deja Vu. I’ve got to get off these boards. They’re making me mean.
I think this is plausible. It would explain the crying in front of the tv
“We know that Daniel has been subject to high amounts of radiation, especially to his head.”
Actually, the amount of radiation emitted is small. That is why he wasn’t worried about Desmond being exposed.
Daniel: “You don’t need one. For prolonged exposure, I do this twenty times a day.”
Lie down on a tanning bed for just 5 minutes and nothing happens, but stay there for a few hours and well…
I think Des’s observation about Dan’s lack of head protection was a bit of a joke. I mean, Daniel is the “headcase”. He had to get that way somehow.
