Interestingly enough, ‘the staff’ is/was the Dharma Initiative’s medical station, where none other than Claire was taken before giving birth to Aaron.

— Andrelus

Harper, the woman we now know as Goodwin’s actual wife, tells Juliet her full name when they first meet: Harper Stanhope

I did some digging and discovered among a few other interesting anagrams, one I particularly thought was fascinating:

Harper Stanhope = Pharaoh Serpent

Why is this important?

Well, I did some bible research on Aaron not too long ago and found this passage: “Aaron was empowered by God to cast his staff to the ground where it turned into a serpent before Pharaoh’s eyes.”

Interestingly enough, ‘the staff’ is/was the Dharma Initiative’s medical station, where none other than Claire was taken before giving birth to Aaron.

I don’t know what this all means, but I’m sure it’s something.

Other anagrams for Harper Stanhope =

If you watch regularly you can guess why I thought some of these were interesting.

    Hmmm…interesting

All I gotta say is …………Bible Shmible

Its cool how it all fits, but lets hope that it has nothing to do with Jebus, or Lucimafer, Godamagoo. Why cant people find more relations with Ganesh, Sidharta Gottama, or Vishnu, why does the christian mobile always ruin the party and want to take all the attention away.

Pardon my rambblings. I realise that Aaron is in the bible, but in reality I wonder how many Davids or Mikes there are in the world …and they are in the bible as well…should we be looking to the holy book each time someone mentions a bible oriented name…sigh…I hope not.

Plus how is Harper affiliated with Aaron…can we get a theory on that? (apart from the random anagram which is coincidently affiliated with a bible story, but how is that connected? )

The writers do like to throw in those little things like that, so you could be right. I’d go for the first one-Pharoah’s Serpent.

I’d go for the An Other Perhaps.

    +1 for the effort.

interesting. i believe the writers combine mythos from different belief systems (aka DHARMA, biblical names, the foot statue, traces of islam). what they are trying to tell us is that we are all closer connected than we think.

    You forgot Preheat Orphans.

I love how the show infuses the story with these interesting tidbits that probably wash past the casual viewer. It makes it that much more interesting for us obsessors. I just don’t think it always means ‘something’ and is the key to unlocking the greater mystery.

But they are definitely still fun. And - I have learned a whole heck-of-a-lot about stuff I wouldn’t have otherwise.

I definitely think there is something to this as the enhanced episode for “The Other Woman” makes a point to note that Harper’s name is “Harper Stanhope” and that Goodwin is therefore “Goodwin Stanhope” - I definitely think the names are significant as a result of this enhanced episode.
