this relates a little to my theory about dead bodies. this theory really questions the character mikel (guy with the eye patch) not sure of his name. but what im saying is he never seems to die.
so does the island not only have healing powers but also the power to rebirth? this could also explain the fact that no one can have a baby. sort of like a population regulator, if you know what i mean.
i first thought of this when paulo and nikki were buried alive and i saw this as a sign as maybe there all buried alive. (boone,mr. eko, shannon etc.) and then when locke was shot by ben and left for dead. maybe he died and was then reborn?
i still think you can die of natural causes (eg. starvation, old age) which could explain the slaves on the black rock. and to explain yemi and the plain i suggest that they died before crashing on the island.

hmmm very interesting..i wondered how mikel kept dying & coming back…good spin on the idea.
hmmmm. i dont think so. I mean charlie died and the writers said that he wasnt coming back as a character anymore. Also Mikil blew himself up with a grenade on the season finale of season 3. So i am sure people can die. Also the professor blows himself up with the dynamite coming from the black rock. The lady dies on the operating table because jack couldnt save her. Michael shot and killed libby and anna lucia etc…. so u get the point.
Also ecko gets killed by smokie (the black fog). Hurley kills 2 of the others by running them over with the van, and Sawyer shoots tom with a gun and kills him so people can die on the island
they all have been buried though. so there could be a time delay before they are reborn. we also havn’t seen a body for mikil so he could be running around again. and the professor didn’t have a body left to be reborn to.
i hate people who give you a -1 and don’t even comment to explain why!!!!!!!!!!
the reason you havnt seen mikels body is because he was blown up by a granade… there wouldnt be a body if it was that close range, plus the fact he was under water and out at sea
Yeah i do not think Dr. Arntz is going to be coming back to life anytime soon. Unless he pulls a terminator and morphs his body parts back together. -1
well still the writers have said that charlie wasnt coming back. so he died and wont be reborn
yeah people die ruggur. mikel is in the dharma sharks tummy, with charlie and the two women. maybe only specific people don’t die? -1
all the people you have mentioned to disprove my theory have been blow up and have no physical body left. which i stated in an earlier comment so you can’t use them as examples. all the rest have been 100% buried. they said charlie was not coming back and then he was in the first episode of the new series in hurley’s head or whatever, so do you beleive everything they say?
Ruggur i think you have been abused in this post, i feel for you bro.
Anyways, the writers said Charlie wasnt coming back alive, same with Libby etc but they didnt say they wouldn’t come back “half dead” either.

Ruggur, if it’s any consolation to you, I’ve probably heard every argument there is against the idea, and I’m STILL inclined to think there is something to it. Not sure exactly what though.
The island ( or Jacob? ) seems to use the bodies of the dead, (which I think is why the others burn their dead) but maybe the bodies have to be readily accessible, like Yemi’s and Christians. Which is not to say that the island WANTS to use every body at it’s disposal. Some might suit its purpose and others not.
And I have wondered if they were to dig up all of the graves, if they’d find that a few, not all, were missing some bodies (already dug up). Just a thought but no real evidence.
I’m also in the minority that thinks Mikhail may resurface again, and Goodwin for that matter.
Anyway, you’re not the only one weondering about it.
Ruggur, not everyone i have mentioned has been blown up. Tom, anna lucia, and libby were all shot and we havent seen anything of them. Maybe Jacob plays mind tricks on the losties to think twice about the people who have died by bringing them back subconciously. but as for coming back from the dead i just dont think its right…..
jack and ozzig - thankyou for the support. tom, anna lucia and libby were all buried though wern’t they, so there buried alive(if my theory is correct), that is if there still there (which is my dead bodies theory). this theory may be a long shot in the darkness that is lost. but like ozzig i do think there’s something not quite right with the whole dead and buried people. just rememver in the future episodes and series’ that i said this cause im that sure something is up with it all.
