Just a idea I had over coffee this morning.
Is it possible that “The List” is actually a list of names of “constants”? They were brought to the island for the purpose of being someone elses “constant”. Thus the reason for all of the connections before the crash.
Just a thought. :)
Nice thought- though I wonder if that was the case, would they have let Hurley go so easily?
Hmm, you mean when they took them capture at the docks? I dunno, maybe the only intention at the docks was just to have him send the message back to the camp that they better not come looking for them. Hard to say really. If Hurley serves as Libbys constant then his job on the island is done, unfortunately for Widmore, Libby went and got herself shot. Read my theory titled Widmore, Libby and Desmond so that the sentence above makes sense. :)
Its a nice idea but I don’t buy it. Daniel said that the time skips where different for everybody some large some small. How could they be certain that people would skip to points after they had met their constant.
For that matter how can Daniel know that ‘if things go worng..’ he will not go back to a time before he met Des in 1996
hmmmm. nice thought. +1. Also maybe the list that Sayid has in the future (the list of the people he is killing off) are constants of people on the island that Ben does not want to leave.
It would be interesting to see if the people who were bidding at the auction are the people who are on Sayid’s list. Will Sayid be tracking down Charles Widmore, or worse Penelope. This would raise some very serious ethical issues 4 him. I hope it would anyway.
