Many of you are aware of our proposed trip to Las Vegas for ALL LT members, family, friends, etc., so we can meet one another, talk about our favourite show and take in some of the sights Vegas has to offer!
This trip was initially scheduled for late May, however has been changed, as it was not a convenient date for most members. The proposed dates are, Thursday, August 21, 2008 thru until Sunday August 24th, or the following week prior to the Labour Day Weekend, which obviously would have to be a mid week trip! The first date is likely the most desirable.
Everybody is responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements. There are many last minute packages available, which are very reasonably priced. We could initially arrange to meet for beverages on the evening we arrive, and plan either a day or evening event the following day and take it from there. If you have any suggestions as to where we could gather, please let us know.
This trip is open to ALL members, and new members as well. i would like to get an indicator of who will definitely attend, or would strongly consider attending, with the proposed August travel dates. There are presently seven confirmed LT members and a half dozen or more who are hoping to make the trip.
Katrinicity, a long time LT member and trusted friend will be responsible for coordinating all of the final details, and will eventually post an E-Mail address for you to respond to, with your travel information, so complete privacy is assured! Until that time, further posts will be made to update you here by Kat or myself.
The posts regarding this trip will be updated every 6-7 weeks, prior to the travel date, so there is plenty of time to come on board.
If you have any suggestions, please leave your comments, and the travel dates which are preferable for you.
PS: I checked the current last minute packages in my are, (Buffalo to Vegas) at “The Luxor Hotel & Casino” and the price is $499.00. A late summer trip would lower the prices as well.

I totally agree with you Thardie, and with some of the funniest people in the world as well. We can’t leave out that part!
Dab, I am glad to hear that the Las Vegas meeting is still being considered. There are many theorist’s on this site, that I feel in some ways are already like friends(in a limited cyber-space kind of way.)
Anyway I know that you probably feel as I do that it would be wonderful to actually meet in person! I would put,You,wtf, Annie, Prof, Jaz,kat,AC,JW ozzig ,sham, I could go on,but I think I will stop naming names here,because I am sure to leave a lot out, just suffice it to say,I would love to meet you all .(If Possible) I know I will do everything possibe to make that trip if it takes place !!! :-)) +1 For bringing this up again.

We’ve been doing some work behind the scenes, KSJ. I know that WTF, is afraid of flying and is in Australia, so will not be attending. And, I have lost “my official partner in crime”, The Missus due to her pregnancy.
This is a definite trip!
in august i think i can make it, its gonna be sunny and i loved warm climates im gonna check every posiblity to go and meet all of you
kates: Thanks for the mention, and as of yet the documentary airdate is still unknown. The preliminary report from the producer was they were going to complete the doc and then :”shop” it out and see where the interest was. I was sort of under the impression that it would be out by the late spring or early summer. I know thats not very definitive but that is all that I currently know at this time. But back to the topic at hand, :”Vegas:” I been there too many times to recall and the one thing that always seems to ring true about Vegas is that “Its a blast”! and I for one am positive that it will be a memorable adventure and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. So for all of those that are ‘on the fence” as to whether or not to go I would say that I believe this trip will be one you’ll always remember. In the words of Nike :”Just Do It”
Yep, you’re right about that Thardie! I’ve always had a blast when I’ve gone. Sooo much to see and do! I am wired to those “one armed bandits” and the Blackjack tables.

Kitty Kat, Hope you are feeling a bit better now. I am almost back to my feisty little self! I am actually going to try and scoot out a day or two early to soak up some that hot desert sun, providing I can get a price as good as the one mentioned above. So, if you’re down with that, let me know, my sistah! We will have a blast!
We’ll also have to phone The Missus and mess with her head! LOL

I’m sobbing into my ice cream at not being able to come but I will have just given birth to a mini Mrs so will really not be able to make it.
But I must say I’m thrilled to be officially named as partner in crime to no other than Miss Dabilicious!
Wow a new date for the trip!!! Sorry I’ve been off the board for so long but work has been kicking my ass and I haven’t had much of a break. I still have too many projects and not enough hours in the day!! But back to the topic at hand…. Vegas!! Love it -love it - love it!!! I’ve been there a ton of times and one word of advice… Vegas in August is going to be extremely HOT!! I strongly recommend that your choice of hotel include two very crucial items;
First make sure your hotel has a GREAT outdoor pool! I personally recommend Ceasar’s and Mandalay Bay as two of the best in Vegas! As hot as it will be the better hotels use a misting spray around the pools that drops the temperature about 20 degrees so even if it’s over 100 (which is more than a possibility - it’s nearly a guarantee at that time of year!!!!) it’ll still be comfortable and feel like it’s in the low-mid 80’s. Trust me, you’ll spend some time at the pools - they’re fantastic!
The second item to consider is location. As hot as it will be the less time you spend in a cab or waiting for a cab the better! Try to stay on the strip if you can. Many of the casinos there are connected to a monorail with indoor stations - which means you many not even need to leave the comforts of air conditioning to go to another location!
And I don’t want to scare anyone off talking about the heat. 100 degrees in Vegas is like the upper 80’s in NY. There’s no humidity at all so it really isn’t bad. Just make sure you wear sun screen. I made that mistake ONCE and got the worst burn of my life!! I learned that the sun is still very strong even if the heat isn’t bad!
OK enough about that! I have to check the schedule and see if Mrs Jukin is up for the trip. I’m pretty damned excited about it! Been a very long time since I’ve been to Sin-City, and since I have a back log of sinning to do this could work out perfectly!! I’ll check it out and keep you posted!! Thanks for the update dabs!!! Missus, You will always be “my partner in crime”, whether you’re present or not! And, given what Jukin has said about “sinning”, you know what picture I will be keeping in mind, so I abstain from any kind of unlady like sinning!! LMFAO!! Trust me, Missus that picture is worth a life time of abstaining in my books. I don’t even need Dr. Feelgood anymore, after seeing that! haha
Jukin, I do hope you and the Mrs., will be able to attend. It’ll be a blast! Trust me, after a few drinks, I’ll be in the pool alright, but it will be a case as to who throws me in! lol
