1 - Jacob finds it very hard to talk 2 - Eko says to Claire in a previous episode “Aaron. Aaron was the name of Moses’ brother. Moses found it very hard to speak, so Aaron spoke for him”.

— Pez123

This is basically about Aaron, and is also a short theory. It is about Aaron and his connection to Jacob.

I believe Aaron is connected to Jacob in a way. He might of made Claire pregnant, and wanted her to have a baby named Aaron.

The reason I have thought of this is because

1 - Jacob finds it very hard to talk 2 - Eko says to Claire in a previous episode “Aaron. Aaron was the name of Moses’ brother. Moses found it very hard to speak, so Aaron spoke for him”. (that quote isnt exactly correct, in terms of words, but is a true quote). So maybe, Aaron will speak for Jacob sometime, maybe even help him escape.

Eko also says “Aaron was a great man”. I believe Aaron will grow up and will be a great man, whether it be on the island or off it. Aaron will grow up and be a leader.

If, as you state, Aaron is considered very important to Jacob, does this not position Claire and Christian in opposition to Jacob?

What I mean is, in accordance to your post, Jacob wants Aaron. He wants him on the Island perhaps to become a great man on the Island.

And Yet Christian led Claire away, made her leave Aaron, which allowed for Kate to ultimately take him away from the Island. (And then Kate has dreams where Claire implores her not to ever bring Aaron back to the Island.)

So either Aaron’s departure was against Jacob’s will (which means the apparent wishes of Christian/Claire set them against him). Or Christian really does speak on behalf of Jacob, which relegates how important Aaron is to him (since Jacob, technically, allowed Claire to abandon in the jungle which ultimately led to him leaving the Island).

    Your thoughts?

Yes Angelo, I have problems with this one also. I do believe Aaron will have an important role to play but was confused as to why Christian (Jacob) was happy for him to leave.

The only explanation I could find was this : We know terrible thinngs have happened on the island since it was “moved.” Aaron’s life cannot be at risk so he needs to leave until the time is right for his return. Claire is still on the island. Her warning to Kate may only be in reference to what was happenening on the isalnd at the time. Maybe when she says never bring him back, she doesn’t actually mean never.

I’m aware of the biblical connections : Aaron is the great grandson of Jacob, and Benjamin is the favourite son. I do believe the shepards have a connection to Jacob, and Locke also. I’m not sure how it all fits yet though. Maybe certain members of the Losties and others are part of the family of Jacob, and the family that Boone was referring to in Locke’s vision. The family needs to be brought together but when the time is right.

I also disconvered something else about Aaron whch I felt was interesting. I apologise if someone else has already mentioned this, most probably they have! : Scholors have established that one of three possible meanings of the name “Aaron” is “pregnancy”(to conceive or conception). Maybe this is a clue to Aaron’s importance and not the biblical connection. Any ideas?

Doesnt Ben refer to Jacob as a “Great Man”? I am pretty sure at least in one episode when he was still known as Henry. Please forgive me for not knowing the exact episode but it was definitely in season 3 right around the same time as Eko referred to the Biblical Aaron as a great man.

Yes he did refer to him as a great man.

hmm, the first 2 responses to this ASSUME Christian either IS or duz in fact speak for Jacob…

Just becuz he SAYS he can speak on Jacobs behalf duznt mean he actually duz…

They WANT us to assume hes tellin the truth but im not so naive

I think Christian is sumhow against Jacob, so Jacob not wantin Aaron to get near Jacob is VERY feasable, and i think this is a pretty good theory,,,

Remember Aaron is a baby. Maybe that is why Christian said that he was speaking on Jacob’s behalf, because ofcourse, Aaron cannot speak yet. (Im just saying the literal option)

So, assuming then that Jacob represents Moses and Christian, who is speaking for him, represents Aaron then Christian is his own grandpa? Juicy…
