Hi Nick. Also saw that one and I believe this comes to prove that Ben can travel in time.

Here is the story in my view: - Ben is on the island and is stunned like the others to see the 815 crash on the island. - He then sends Goodwin and Ethan to find out more amongst the survivors. - Ben travels back in time before the crash to go fetch as many informations he can on everybody on the plane… Likely Richard and Tom did go as well to find info and share the load. Ben goes personally in the airport to see by himself all the passengers.

Laws of time travel in LOST seem to make that there is nothing thet can prevent the crash even if you go back in time. However you can go back to find information. Who is better informed about everything than Ben?

So Ben uses the grand power of time travel to go back and… (drum roll)… be a security guard at an airport?

(The actor Michael Emerson wasn’t a nobody at that time. Do you really think an actor of note would agree to appear in the background of a TV show for a second or two on the understanding that about two years later he would come to be a major character?)

It may turn out that Ben was at the airport that day, but I agree with AngeloComet2 again, I doubt the actor you saw was Michael Emerson.

It was definitely Emerson. The questions is just if they said, “hey, you wanna come back?” or “OK, it’s time to come back”

Of course it isn’t Locke. Locke/Bentham died 3+ years after this scene took place.

Jacks father was in the coffin on the plane and his body “vanished” after the plane crashed on the Island.

Have you got a screen cap of Ben at the airport? Would be interesting to see.

at what point in the episode do you see him.. i am having a hard time finding him?

Hey guys! Found it! In episode 3.03 Further Instructions 13.04 to 13.06 John Locke has a vision which takes place in the airport. This is were we see Ben in the airport. This is definitively Ben. It was just a vision however… Note that in the same vision with see Desmond whom for sure doesn’t have anything to do there. So so much for the theory… A pity.

i thought this guy is claiming you see ben in the airport during a season 1 episode, not season 3

We need to know more about the time between Christian’s death and the plane departure. Jack did something then that will need to be revealed.

no offense tree_sneakers, but if you watch Jack’s episode in Season 1, he is wearing the suit because he is going directly from the plane to his father’s funeral because he can’t take his time, it has to be done.

And I call B.S. on this post. I have watched the scene and it comes after Jin was let loose by Michael. There isn’t even someone in the background waving ppl down. There wasn’t anything in that scene. I saw 2 people go down escalators walk in the background and then later on you see the same people go down the escalators when Jin walks up to Sun. Hell, I even saw one of the survivors of the plane walk around in the background, I saw him on the island during “through the looking glass” when carl came to warn them. (Which it is obvious that they use crew members as background people. another example is Hurley’s Grandfather, if you look on the special features, in real life Hurley’s Grandfather is the crew guy who was in charge of getting the raft off the island.

Anyway this is a B.S. post, maybe it is the wrong episode, or give us the exact time that you see Ben.

CrazyFrenchMan - the OP was talking about an episode in Season One, not Season Three.

The airport scene in Season Three is Locke hillucinating and we’ve already met Ben at this point anyway, so there is nothing strange in that.

I don’t know if this theory is correct or not but I do remember the photo Miles has of Ben and it looks like he is wearing some sort of uniform,and he appears to be off island and working in a public setting

there are many airport scenes in season 1, and ben may have been in one of them, but he definately isnt in the one of sun and jin in ep 6.
