I’m just brainstorming here…. I’m glad if you’d like to join me! There is no such thing as a stupid idea. (with several exceptions XD)
Ok here are some possible explanations for the (sometimes) little secrets on the show (some are old, some are mine)
*How the Dharma Stations are getting power:
Solar cells (unlikely considering Dharma was started in the 70ties or something)
-A water current
-With use of the wind
-With use from the ties of the ocean
-Nuclear energy (unlikely)
-Really 2 giant hamsters running in huge wheels somewhere underground (very unlikely)
-Somehow from the warmth of the earths core (I think the most likely)
*The 4-toed Statue:
-Its hollow and its really a dungeon
-Its just an ancient statue made by the previous inhabitants of the Island
-Its the home of Smokey
-Its the Temple (didn’t checked that with the map yet)
-Its a helicopter landing place
-Its another Dharma station (the orchid?)
*Smokey:
-A failed scientific experiment
-The memories from everyone
-The spirits of the dead people
-Jacob
-Just some paranormal activity
-A animal specie formed by evolution, yet not discovered
-A whole bunch of bugs
*Jacob:
-Not real (set up by Ben)
-Aaron in the future (read this theory on this site)
-Paranormal ghost (or smokey)
-A experiment from the Dharma Initiative
-The leader of the Hostiles given invincibility by the Island but kept by Ben to protect his leadership
*The quarry/ The “runway” (on the small Island near the coast of the real Island):
-A runway for a airplane with new members of the Dharma station (makes no sense yet)
-Really a Alien runway
-A runway for a hidden plane in the jungle to get off the Island somehow
-A runway for some special supply
-Not a runway
*Adam and Ev e: note: the producers said that at the end of the show,
when we look at Adam and Eve, we think: oooh, so they knew that from the beginning
-Jack and Kate in future
-Dharma Initiative founders: Karen and Gerald DeGroot (makes sense)
-A slave and (I don’t know how its called) a men who trades slaves from the Black Rock
-Jacobs body and his wife
-Some people stranded on the Island, and didn’t survived
-People who build the ruins and the 4-toed statue (inhabitants)

U PEEPS READ TO FAR INTO THINGS THE STATUE IS JUST A STATUE AND the staitons are getting power like everything else gets power elctricity or watever who cares

Sorry, lockeko-man (nah I’ll just stick to lockeko =P) I dont see a link..
They had solar panels in the 70s. My uncle had one whole side of his roof covered in solar panels and the batteries took up half his basement. So there would have to be a whole lot to power all of the island. I’m going with the geothermal idea for power.
I think the statue is just a statue, but what happened to the rest of it. You would think you would see the body or at least the head kinda like the statue of liberty in planet of the apes.

Adam and Eve are a couple of skeletons that have been there a long long time. I think they should have Miles take a look at them.
Here’s some side questions I’ve been pondering:
where do they get their food? There are a lot of mouths to feed. I haven’t seen any farm, no livestock, but I did see a grill in S03E01. Are they goingto the mainland every couple weeks to fill up on groceries?
Speaking of food, why was the pallet of food the losties found all Dharma food? I don’t believe Dharma is still making food drops 16 years after the purge. Do the others package food in Dharma containers to make Desmond think Dharma is still in control?
Where did all the tarps come from that the losties make tents out of? I don’t think passenger airliners cary that many tarps.

lady, I wondered about the lady thing too, but being a guy, I’d rather not know. Although I have noticed that Kate has worn the same bra for what? over 3 months now, in the rain, in the sun, swims in it, that has got to be one nasty bra
It must be one hell of an indestructible bra! I’m surprised it hasn’t fallen apart yet.
