Sorry if this has been mentioned before but i have not had time to read other theories yet! Also i was very shocked at Alex dying and also a little upset to see a 16 year old shot in cold blood in the head on Lost!
Right my idea. I dont think Ben believed Alex would be killed because he thought she would be saved by the island. As she is his daughter Ben believed that his family had work to do just like himself and so the island would keep them alive. However because she was not his biological daughter this was not the case and she did die.I believe that if Alex was his daugter she would have lived that he is not always correct and this time he paid the ultimate sacrifice f In a way Ben got his payback here one for taking Alex and then having the pain of losing her just as her Mother did and two he was shown or this
I was shocked Ben let this happen as he did this backs my idea he thought Alex would be saved.

Also ive heard a rumour the big kiss is between Jack and Kate, Sawyer catches them and that makes him decide to stay on the island, Sawyer somehow ends up at Jacks camp along with Hurley and Claire, not long from now Claire and Jack find out they are related, this happens through Ben who already knows this when he reveals that he is Aarons grandfather. Claire dies because Jack doesnt believe her when she says Aaron may be the key to a mystery involving the island and takes off alone to prove him wrong not sure how but this results in her death.

I’ve read, that Richard Alpert might have had something to do with Locke’s birth, he fathered him or Locke is related somehow, which might explain why some people die and some don’t.
Didn’t Christian Shepherd have a comment about rounding up family or something in Season 1 or 2?
i wasn’t shocked by her death, but horribly disappointed. alex was hoooooooooot. (i checked and the actress is actually 20 so i can say this)
Alex is not dead, Keamy missed and she passed out from shock. Ben woke her up and sent her to the temple.
