A question about whether 3.2 million dollars are the island’s coordinates.

So if Wildmore’s people and apparently he as well knew the location to the island, why in “The Shape of Things to come” did Ben said to Wildmore that he will never find the island?.

If the island is moving then why hasn’t moved since Michael left the island?

Are you suggesting that Ben (or the Others) “tell” the island when to move? or the island started moving after Desmond turned the fail-safe key on, which was after Michael left the island.

I think Widmore doesnt know the location of the island. I think the freighter people know this. And I’m afraid Ben ain’t planning on letting them go.

With other words. The freighter people get killed or stuck on the island and Widmore has no idea where they are and where the island is

I don’t know, but maybe the island can appear, move around, and disappear the way Jacob’s cabin can, and you have to do certain things or have certain people to locate it (i.e. Hurley).

I think the location is stagnant..and is known..I think getting to the island and the way to get to the island is what changes, etc…

similar to the bermuda triangle…everyone knows where its at, sometimes you get sucked in, sometimes you don’t…must be an equation to get sucked in (if the bermuda triangle thing is true)…

So with the island…they know where it’s at, they just can’t get to it

The question is: Are the 3.2 million dollars actual coordinates of the island or simply 3.2 million dollars?. 3.2 exactly because they are a necessary factor Miles want. We are used of the Numbers, that predict the possible end of the world, the constant Desmond must have, the way something is supposed to happen as Locke says.

I have wondered about this traveling island business ever since they started talking about “hatches” which are normally associated with planes, sea-craft, and spacecraft. Similarly, I’ve wondered whether the island with these hatches is submersible. As to who may or may not be piloting the island (if it can be piloted), I would think it might be Ben. Last weeks show seemed to indicate he controls the monster; if thats the case, why shouldn’t he also be in control of the direction the island takes.

I found it interesting as well… I mean the freighter is there now, and before the communication room on the freighter was sabotaged, they could communicate with the mainland. So wouldnt they communicate the general coordinates of where they were back to Widmore? It doesnt matter if they all die, they had plenty of time to get that information back before they died. And knowing Widmore, he is a man that wants to know all, so as soon as they found the island, he would want to know where it was. And how did Widmore find it in the first place? If he found it once, and it doesnt move, he should be able to find it again.
