There have been many allusions to the fact that this show revolves around a light and a dark side. The backgammon game, the rocks found on Adam and Eve, good and evil, etc. We all know it’s a running them on the show and I noticed a subtle point that clearly adds to it.
In the last scene of “The Shape of Things to Come” we see Ben and Charles engaged in dialogue that answers a few questions/ raises even more…the norm. One thing I noticed in this scene is that if you look at both of their faces one side is light and one side is dark. Yea i know seems pretty simple…but I thought it was interesting considering it was true throughout that entire scene. I’m sorry I have no real theory here but it just makes me realize how much f’ing detail is put into this show and that light and dark /good and evil is a major underlying theme. maybe the fact that both of their faces show a light and a dark side means that there maybe good and evil in both men. Thoughts?

I think this kind of detailed thought is best reserved for a retrospective view of the show. Otherwise we’re just blowing smoke. Still an interesting thought. But tedious.
there is another post on this, maybe have a look? i like the imagery but like i said in the other post i doubt either Ben or Widmore are “good”, but maybe one is more “right” than the other.
Lojozz I challenge you to a debate club arguement, a +10 post off, for the monarchy. I’m having trouble seeing if you accept or not, so just post it in a recent theory and if I see it we can get to buisness. I’ll explain what I’m challenging you on and what side i (hope) to take in the argument when you respond to this message.
I just noticed the other post. My bad CamaroHead!
There is definately the ‘good-bad’ ‘white-black’ ‘science-faith’ themes running through the show. I find it hard to categorize Ben as purely good or bad though, which makes him so great to watch! I was just wondering again “who is Adam and Eve”? I hope they explain that one.
