In the orchard station video they are experimenting on rabbits. They place a numbered rabbit in the time machine and instead of the rabbit traveling in time it is actually duplicated. Some time right after the crash time on the island was stopped by Ben so he could pick a few test subjects. He duplicated them using the orchard station. He then picked certain time lines in there past to send the real person back to.The reason Charlie is able to visit Hugo off the island is because his duplicate died not his real self who was sent back to the real world.
Jack wakes up in the jungle a shot of his left eye is shown then he just starts helping fix things.Sawyers first shot is of him smoking a cig.He is unharmed.Kate comes running through the jungle unharmed.Locke wakes up on the beach laying flat on his back and wiggles his toes. That is his duplicate because he is no longer a cripple. Rose no longer has cancer. Now they have there human game pieces to manipulate, control. observe ,even make bets on them.In season 3 ending the body in the coffin is Kate that is why Jack is so upset and crying. They were never supposed to leave the island because they already have.that is why no one attended the funeral she was under an assumed name.Jack was neither friend or family because he had only met a duplicate of Kate on island. Not the real Kate who was sent back.

im not convinced. You need to clear your thought process and make it a bit more solid.
If the people you mentioned are duplicates - begging the question of when this duplication took place given that we saw Kate, for example, sitting in her seat as the rear end of the plane was torn off in mid-air - then what happened to the originals?
Don’t tell me you think they’re in that plane found at the bottom of the Sunda Trench.
So why would Ben need the Jack from the beach then to do surgery on him? Just duplicate him again, 10 times if you like. So in case anything goes wrong we just use Jack#4
When Ben wakes up in the dessert he is the same position as Jack when he woke up in jungle so is John flat out on there backs eyes closed. They show a shot of there left eyes on the island. They show the left eye because they are mirror images of them selves. After going through the time machine Ben is in more than one place at the same time.So he is in the dessert and still on the island at the same time.
This is very interesting. When I went back and watched the episode where Locke meets his mother (if it’s even his real mom?), it struck me as odd the way Anthony Cooper reacts to what he says. Locke tells Anthony that his mother said he was “immaculately conceived,” and he lets out a big laugh and says “really!” I’ve never been able to let that go, and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that somehow what she said was true. I have no idea how, but this could connect to that.
Perhaps if you expand your theory a bit more Jojo if will become more plausible.
And you didnt respond to my previous comment
They don’t need 4 or 5 duplicates just one to send back in time to keep people from finding the island.like when Charlie is drowning he uses his left hand to cross himself and also does it backwards. It’s his mirror image or duplicate.Maybe he was chosen to be duplicated because he was a drug addict and the others wanted to observe his reaction to getting clean.Refresh my memory did he even go through withdraws from the heroin. Sweats throwing up uncontrollable shaking?Heroin is a very difficult drug to stop doing especially without help like from a dr. or something.I have 4 kids here ages 1-3 so my response time is slow to say the least.
Interesting thoughts and I have nothing to discredit the theory. However, havent the writers said that there are NO clones at all in the story? I know the writers have lied in the past to throw us off, but I remember reading that no clones are involved and I believed it. I dont think they NEED the idea of clones to complete the story, so they prboably wouldnt use clones.
I do think there is something interesting regarding the way we see Jack (and others) wake up after the crash ((laying on back, eyes are closed and then open up). It is perfectly similar to how Ben wakes up in the desert. Good observation.
I do remember Charlie having some rough times as he was getting clean. I mean I think we saw an abbreviated version of the process, so it probably wasnt presented as elaborately as it happens in real life, but I do remember him getting pretty sick and going through the withdrawals and whatnot.
O.K maybe it depends on what your definition of a clone is I used the term duplicate not clone. I think a clone uses cells and stuff like that . Like Dolly the sheep she had to be born from another sheep. In my theory the duplication happens instantly .Watch the orchard clip an exact duplicate bunny just fell from what seems like out of nowhere. One comment in this clip is keep them away from each other or they must not come in contact..Something like that but he did not want them to see each other.
First off, the rabbit didnt fall from anywhere. It appeared on the upepr shelf of the bookcase. Secondly, duplicate and clone are interchangeable. I understand the difference you are trying to establish, but its still a clone, regardless of how that clone is created. I think the rabbit that appears is sent back in time after the video is taken. You cant let the same entity get in contact with itself or you create a paradox. That is why they want to keep the original rabbit away from its “sent back to the past” version, because they are indeed the same rabbit. If it is a clone, what is the harm in contacting your clone? There is no anomoly there… just like Dolly the Sheep, the cloned sheep could interact and contact the original sheep without undoing space/time…
