Something bothers me though. Although Faraday acted as anyone would when you see a dead guy, he looked at him weirdly. Then i spotted it. On his cheeks are about 6 lines going down. Now that’s a bizzare cut isn’t it? I believe that the freighter killed the doctor and put those symbols there as a message.
Also Faraday by now is probably used to people’s corpses when he’s been on a boat with people suiciding left and right. The boat then transmitts that the doctor is “fine” what do you mean. Maybe i’m just overly hyped about this, but using the term “fine” is an interesting choice.
Perhaps there could be any number of secret or hidden messages or just one. Thoughts and comments anyone?

The cuts as a message seems a bit strange but plausible - not so much that it is a message directly to Faraday, but a sign/symbol in general that he understands the meaning of.
“The doctor is fine” seems like it could be a code for something, though I’m not sure. The stilted language of “fine” seems out of place.
what about Bernard realising the morse code translation was a lie? good theory. i didnt notice the marks on the doc, will go back and look :)

Sorry, but I can’t see anything suspicious about “The doctor is fine”. I simply took this as the doctor is fine.

You are trying too hard to read into minute details concerning the Doctor. I think the most important thing that the Doctor washing up on the Island while supposedly being alive on the freighter has to do with the distortion of space/time issue that keeps popping up with increased frequency as of late on the show.
I think whomever replied to that communication was lying about the doc
Well its not out of the question that it was a code because they did use it before, what was it? Something like “tell my sister i love her”

I blew up the scratches here and flipped them (the left side is flipped) and upped the contrast, could be symbol or initals HN or 11N or just scratches!
