Jack lives. Claire dies.

Jack is sick. Claire is on her way back to the beach. Jack makes it off the island, as does Aaron, Claire’s son. Claire, evidently, does not. Perhaps Claire gives up her life (e.g. through a blood tranfusion) in order to save Jack’s life. And this is why Jack doesn’t want to see Aaron after Kate’s trial.

that’s a good thought, and maybe he doesn’t want to see aaron because he somehow finds out about claire and him being half siblings, so that would make aaron his half nephew.

I’m thinking that they’ve been teasing us all season that Claire’s death is inevitable .. I think that Jack, would probably not leave the island now, knowing that all hell is breaking loose; unless he is unconscious and on a stretcher … and that Claire will get on the helicopter with Aaron (because Desmond’s prophecy has to come true), but will ultimately give up her spot for Jack because he will die unless he gets off the island to get treatment… I think it would be clever for the writers to spare her after making it painfully obvious all season that she is to go (like they did with Charlie) … They blew up the house that she was in and she still survived and then it seemed, almost with a wink that the clairvoyent dude said that she hasn’t died YET.

I think Jack will find out that they are related prior to leaving the island, and his reluctancy to see Aaron is based on his guilt that he left the island instead of Claire ..

I dont think Claire would give up her life for someone she has known for a few months, especially since she has a newborn child to look after.
