In the latest episode, we see Ben and Widmore talking in Widmore’s room.

Now, you might disagree with me saying that Ben runs the island because some could argue that Jacob does but whatever I don’t care. So, while Ben and Widmore are talking, Widmore says something like “I will have the island again” and Ben says something else, but my point is that I think Widmore was in control of the island at one point maybe when Ben got there as a little kid or maybe even before Ben got there and then at some point they fought over it and Ben won posession but then i guess Widmore would know where it is but w/e i still think Widmore was in control at one point and maybe even had something to do with the Dharma program.
