why are continuing to play this lil game, when we all know its moved to the next stage?”

— Mikhail_Faraday

Something i’ve been noticing more and more is the concept that something is a “game” to these people.

All the way back to Locke Walt, and Baggamon(sp?) (in season 1) which has a connection to Adam and Eve (black/wht rocks)

Also, in season 3 Locke tells ben that him and his people are “cheating” saying that they have submarines and houses, that its cheating.

Plus, also in season 3 when Sayid, Locke, Kate meet Mikhail at the Flame right before they start fighting Mikhail says “why are continuing to play this lil game, when we all know its moved to the next stage?”

Now to our episode on 4/24, Hurley and Sawyer play a game and Hurley remarks “Australia is the key to the game”

Well our story begins in Australia, where Flight 815 takes off…

AND Ben remarks that Widmore “changed the rules”…

Not quite sure what this could mean, but ther’s something there…sounds like they are referring to something as if its a game…

As for Ben waking up in the Sahara, i’ve read some thoeries here that i totally agree with, i believe he was time traveling based on the way he woke up…Also, i havent seen any1 mention him throwing up almost immediately, similar to Jack’s current condition on the island maybe???? And the similarity to Marvin Candle having a prosthetic arm and Ben’s wound on his arm is also instriguing.

On to the final scene which to me was so well-written and intense.

It’s about perception. Widmore asks Ben if hes here to kill him and Ben replies “we both KNOW i CANT do that”

now, how do we perceive that?

does he simply mean “i WONT kill you because you and i both know that i need you alive for some reason”

OR* (my theory)

he literally CAN NOT kill Widmore? why? i havent figured that out, maybe immortality due to extensive exposure to the islands unique properties? feel free to add on if possible, these are just interesting points i noticed.

On a side note, my belief is Sayid will be faced with a decision to eIther avenge hiS wifes death by killing Penny (who will undoubtedly be on Ben’s “to kill” list that Sayid is exhausting) or somehow team up with Des and Pen against Ben…

thoughts please?

I think Ben can’t kill Widmore because it would cause a paradox.
