I’m guessing that the “main character” who dies, execution-style, tonight, is none other than Juliet.

Why?

Well, for one, she’s not a very popular character with the fan base. Two, her character really has no where to go. She’s so entangled with Ben that she can’t leave the Island, and she’s so duplicitous that Ben can’t trust her any more.

How?

As rumored, she will be the one to be shot execution style.

By Whom?

That’s a good question. I’m thinking that somehow Ben masterminded her demise, but it’s not at his hand.

That’s all for now for this “bit of speculation about a character” so please don’t whine about it not being a theory. It qualifies.

    I’m going out on a limb here but I think it’s going to be Rousseau. Her shot wasn’t fatal, the freighties walk up to get Alex, realize Rousseau isn’t dead, sit her up, say some stuff and kill her to let Alex know they’re serious. I will even go on to say it happens early in the episode and we will all give a sigh and think “oh, that wasn’t the big deal it was played up to be”

    So it was Alex. That was rather obvious, considering the sneak previews and trailers that showed her being held hostage at gunpoint.

    I guess I was just over-analyzing.

    On the other hand, Claire narrowly escaped death - knocked unconscious by her house exploding from a rocket attack.

    Hey Veefre, dont be despondent as I am sure that at some point both Juliette and Claire will die. OK maybe 60 years down the track, but sometime.

    Not what the writers gave us but your ideas were well thought out and in ‘alternative-world’ Lost, they could have happened.

    It was sad to see Alex killed, she seemed to be one the truly decent people on the island. The only “good” thing about it, is if there is anything at all to the spiritual aspects of the island, then she and Karl are together.
