Both Locke and Ben had mothers names Emily (I’m sure this has been all over the boards, but I couldn’t find it.)
In meet Kevin Johnson, I saw only 1 helicopter on the freighter….didn’t there need to be 2 if Naomi crashed one??
On the question of Ben or Widmore, putting the plane in the Sunda Trench: We know that whoever put the plane on the ocean floor knows that Lapidus knows it is fake (his call to the Oceanic hotline). This begs the question that, would Widmore hire him to go on the freighter if he indeed was the one who put the plane down there?

1) I never noticed the same name with the mothers. Thanks. 2) I am pretty sure there were two helicopters when we saw the docked boat in Fiji. 3) I think Widmore put him on the plane so he can “get rid of him” and anyone else who might be on to the plane hoax.

As far as the fake plane…if they found all 324 bodies doesn’t that mean they found everyone on board dead? Oceanic 6?
I know the two helicopter issue has come up quite a few times. I think this has been addressed, so what I am about to say originated with someone else, and I agree with what they said.
I dont believe we saw ANY helicopters on the freighter in Fiji. I could be wrong, but we definitely didnt see two helicopters. What someone else theorized was that there is a container on the ship with a crane. You can see this when teh freighter is still in Fiji. I think there is a single-person helicopter in that container. It was big enough. So Naomi crashed her single-person helicopter into the ocean, and Lapidus is still flying around the multi-passenger helicopter.
I never noticed that both of their mother’s names are Emily?! Is this factual? If so, it seems that it would HAVE to be more than a coincedence, wouldn’t it? Someone needs to do more research on that!!!
PopinLocke815: Great point and this is something I cant wait to have explained. If the real world “knows” that Oceanic Flight 815 crashed, and the plane has been found with everyone onboard confirmed dead, how do the Oceanic 6 explain themselves? All of a sudden there are 6 survivors even though everyone was “confirmed” dead? Then wouldnt there be a huge investigation regarding the fake wreckage and the fake dead bodies?
So_Lost: I just checked Lostpedia, which I hold to be pretty accurate. They list Emily Locke as John Locke’s mother and Emily Linus as Benjamin Linus’ mother. So I guess they both have mother’s named Emily! I also never noticed this and yes, it has to be more than coincidence.

Should I say it? Could they be brothers from the same mother? I went to Lostpedia, too, and I put the pictures side-by-side. Obviously, there is an age difference, but I guess they could be the same person…kind of. I mean, the actress playing Emily Linus could possibly be a younger Emily Locke. Yikes!
Good grief ! All the world “knows” is that there is a video tape that purportedly shows the wreckage of flight 815 - complete with at least one body . Further, said video was purportedly taken by a remote access vehicle since the wreckage was in such deep waters. The news coverage that Frank Lapidus hears mentions that it will not be possible to recover the bodies due to the depth of the wreckage.
The video could have been shot in a big tank in a sound stage for all anyone knows. Given that the news reports the remains of flight 815 are located in an all but inaccessible place there is no way for the media or anyone else to independently verify the thruth of the videotape.
There is NO wreckage in the Sunda Trench — the video is a fake. Any and all wreckage of the actual flight 815 is on the island or just offshore. The living passengers of flight 815 are the “Losties”; the passengers who died in the crash were either buried or cremated by the survivors.
