No Matter How Hard You Try, The Island Won’t Let You Die

Excuse me if this has already been posted, I have not been to this site in quite some time.
It just occured to me that when Jack attempted to shoot Locke, the gun jammed in the same way that Michael’s did.
I feel that this disproves many of the Mr. Happy switched the gun theories.
Once again sorry if this has already been posted, it seems kind of obvious but I had not made the connection.
Also I do not know if I am going to get in trouble for doing this, but there is this band called Previously On Lost and they do weekly song recaps of each episode, they are really good, and I think anyone who watches lost close enough to write such awesome theories will enjoy all of the references. its good music too!
The gun Jack used to try and shoot Locke wasn’t loaded with bullets. Michael’s was however.
Why was Michael’s gun fully loaded? After one shot, he’s done. Ah, I know… 6 rounds, Oceanic 6. Otherwise he’s the monarch of russian roulette.
That has yet to be proven Joe. Just because Locke says it wasn’t loaded, doesn’t mean it definitely wasn’t. I posted this same thread about a week ago.

i mean i kind of forgot about the gun not being loaded, but i think the “island won’t let you die” thing doesn’t necesarily mean that a gun has to jam or something, but against fairly good odds someone manages to live anyway. I mean we’ve seen it over and over on the show, i dont know if we can really say that it all relates back to this, but idk
also sorry for copying your theory i will take this down
The show has already answered your question for you. If you buy into the concept of “the island won’t let you die” then the reason the “the island won’t let you die” is because “you still have work to do”. Anytime the island doesn’t let someone die (if that’s indeed how things work on this show) its because “they still have work to do”. Its that simple.
