the watch obviously plays some major role, or there wouldn’t have been so much focus on it in Meet Kevin Johnson….
Can anyone translate the inscription? it may hold a clue.

I disagree with this theory. I don’t think the watch holds any significance, and I don’t think the focus on it proves anything. It was just a way of brining in the past storylines of the watch and writing it out of the show. We know it was given to Jin by Sun’s father, we know he was ticked Micheal found it, but then gave it to Michael as a gift once they became friends. Now we feel how desperate Michael’s situation is by virtue of the fact that he would give the watch away. And that’s it. It’s out of the story now. It doesn’t hold any signifiance to the overriding story. It’s not going to be the key to anything, or hold any clues. It was just a watch. If you believe it does then you’ll also believe that Jin’s father’s fishing pole is the rod of destiny, and that the furniture that Michael’s ex took was usued to reappolster the hatch. You may have also noticed that bottle of beer Sawyer ordered in Sydney had the answer written under the bottle cap and that the character Bart who isn’t on the show, is the real leader of everything. What are you talking about with this rediculous watch scenerio?

It may very well be that the watch is of at least a little significance. They made a big deal out of it before when Michael was wearing it and now they are showing it again. I dont think it is fundamental to the story but do think that it will pop up again and some little interesting tidbit will come out of it. Good observation. Nothing wrong with asking about the inscription. We all did that with Naomi’s bracelet, didnt we?
Yeah Chris you really need to relax. Whether someone says something that you think is stupid or not, you still need to control the crap that flies out of your comment space. Everyone deserves a little respect.
