obv go with Locke so I can keep growing my pot.
gotta go to Lockes camp to, get in on Mises pot action. get baked and watch some dharma instructional videos, trippy man.
is this even seriously up for debate? You gotta go with Locke. Plus he makes a mean hallucinogen.
with locke only because sawyer is there
I would be torn. My female intuition would be tempted by Locke’s exciting world of open possibility, my love of logic and reason would want to stick with good ol’ Jack. I’d probably try negotiating between the two sides, try to bring them closer together: “Don’t fight, boys! There has to be a third way!” Failing that I would follow AngeloComet- he/she seems to be a shining beacon who walks amongst trolls and yet is not one of them.
If I was stuck on an Island I would always go with the Doctor :-)
lol Obscure - I am a he!
You’re following me? OK. Right at that moment (not knowing what The Freighter represented) I would be inclined to stick around and see who was coming. If I could get a gun, great. But otherwise I’d stash a bag full of Dharma food and water, and hide in a place where I could see what happens when Jack goes to meet The Freighties. If it looks good, I’ll run out and join the rescue party. If it looks bad, I’ll run the other way (the Staff Station with the ‘escape hatch’ would be a good spot to bunker down in, I think).
You’re still following me? Run fast!
if i were on locke’s team id take sayid with me….and make sure ben explains everything. from alpha to omega. id make sayid cut off ben’s eyelids so that he wont be able to sleep and worse of all ..not be able to close his eyes when hurley and sawyer will be raping his daughter alex in front of him ensuring her pregnancy.
if i were on jack’s team..id take lapidus with his helicopter and sayid sawyer (f*k jack) armed like schwarzenegger in “commando” and go play “under siege” ala steven”legend”seagal on the freighter.
I really don’t know why but my instinct says JACK.
HMMMM…
Dang… I don’t know!!
Sounds like a lot of running, AC, but I’m in. Seems you’ve got contingency plans, resources and a quick brain which amounts to a good offer! I’ll just slip some walking boots of the feet of a dead guy and join you… :D
I go where Sayid goes.
On the one hand you have Jack, who knows jack about either the island or the rescuers, although to give him a little credit, he seems to have wised up some since the arrival of Farraday & Co. But he has, at this point, no interest in finding out anything about the island. He has Sayid, his best weapon who will use common sense and/or “get the job done” , whatever that might be. He also has Juliet in his camp, a good source of info if he’d bother to push her for some answers, an opportunity he repeatedly passes up. He has Charlotte (not too trustworthy) and addle-brained Farraday, maybe good for something. Frank is so far the only one to successfully pilot in and out from the island, another plus. So Jack is high on fixing things but low on common sense, and every decent decision he’s ever made has been at the suggestion of someone else. Things are beginning to go his way, but really , no thanks to him.
On the other hand you have Locke, suitably skeptical about the rescuers, but also too over-confident in what he thinks he knows, with things not working out as he plans. He has Rousseau, the female version of Sayid, but lately her judgement has been clouded somewhat by her emotional reunion with Alex. He has Miles but doesn’t know how to use him. He also has Ben, an excellent scource of info, but he’s not even remotely capable of matching wits with Ben to extract that info. Nothing is going his way, he only thinks it is once in a while, because that’s what Ben lets him think.
I say form group number 3, with Sayid, Rousseau (Alex in tow of course), Juliet, Ben, Miles, Frank, Farraday, and maybe Charlotte as long as she’s handcuffed at all times. Have Sayid brainwash Juliet into sleeping with Ben for info, have Rousseau get info by threatening to sleep with Miles. Then hunt down Smokey and strike a deal, turning Ben over to Smokey while Miles watches to pick up any paranormal vibes. Find the temple and turn Sayid loose on the remaining others, then he and Farraday and Charlotte can unravel whatever mysteries are therein. Send false messages to the freighter to get most of the crew there a few at a time for Smokey to take care of, then all board the helicopter and take over the undermanned frieghter.
if you’re stuck on abeautiful Island ! living so primitivly , why would you want to leave ? i mean , no Bills,no Routine work,No polluted city’s air .. just living within nature.. i dont know it’s been always my dream since i was akid to live on an island .. hell,Richard Bronson bought his own Island .. damn i wish i could do that .. haha
I’m with a lot of you—I go with Sayid and/or Sawyer. Jack and Locke are too wrapped up in other issues when what you really need is someone who can kick a little ass without thinking twice about it. Plus, if things go badly and only me and Sayid and Sawyer survive we can repopulate the world together which would be pretty fun (pregnancy problems aside)!
Oh, I forgot, MUST recruit Richard into group #3. Whatever it takes.
Probably Jacks.
I’m the guy that would break his leg and collarbone on the first day on the beach. I’d stay close to the Doc. Even if he is a bit crazy. Almost like he got brainwashed.
LOL, ozzig. That was awesome. One important person you left out was Sawyer… there’s no reason for him to be left behind. ; )
Id go with Locke. If I’m on the island, I don’t trust Jack. He is irrational and has blind faith that people have someone managed to find them, despite thinking that they are all dead, and that these people want to rescue us. I would find it impossible to trust that these people wanted to save us. I’d go with Locke in hopes of finding out about Ben and the island.
We have food, water, a place to live. It is not a bad place. Id rather stay.
I definitely would go with ozzigs’ choice # 3 although like kat said , “Sawyer… there’s no reason for him to be left behind. ; ) “and I also would hope to entice Richard to join this group… cause I think he knows a lot more than what he’s sayin’, plus I would like to find out his secrets on never looking any older!
Ok, Ok, Sawyer can be included in Group #3. He could be useful for working his charms on Charlotte so that she doesn’t need to be handcuffed.( Or she might prefer to still be handcuffed, who knows?) Also, he’s not a coward in a fight, as long as his impulsiveness can be kept to a minimum. Once they reach the temple, he might be useful in overcoming Harpy woman as well. He could be the groups “secret weapon”. I, of course, would be immune.
ozzig you’re on a roll today! I think the first question is do I even want to get off the island? As LostViking points out, life there isn’t exactly too bad - expecially now that they have access to the Others compound with nice houses, electricity etc. Why the rush to leave? Of course this is assuming that the Others are willing to let you live there and smokie leaves you alone!
I think I’m more in line with ozzig here. I’d want all threats on the island extinguished before I’d commit to remaining on the island. Let’s face it, paying bills and going to work every day may not be as pleasant as sitting on a beach and watching the sun set every night, but I don’t remember ever worrying if a black cloud was going to suddenly reach down and rip me in half ala the pilot!
One thing is sure, if I decide to stay on the island Locke is either going to respect my plans to remain there outside of his “dictatorship” or he’s going to find himself returning to the Dharma pit - only this time without getting help from Walt!! Locke is just too impulsive and his decisions to do whatever he wants without regard for those around him make him dangerous for anyone who decides to stay. Stick a couple of bullets in him, work out a deal with the Others or go to an all out war to eliminate them and find a way to control smokie and you’re set.
Following Jack really isn’t an option. He suffers from tunnel vision and a lack of common sense and is slightly less impulsive than Locke. He does consider those around him before taking action but ever since he operated on Ben he’s placed his wishes above everyone else. He knows nothing about the freighter and why they are interested in the island. Not to mention the fact that they came armed and have been manipulative and secretive since arriving and yet he wants to place his live in their hands and cross the sea in their ship? Sorry but they haven’t shown themselves to be trustworthy at all and once you’re on that ship you are 100% dependent on them and their honesty about taking you to safety. So far I’ve seen nothing from them that makes me trust them at all, so following Jack is out.
Group 3 it is!!
Group 3, as long as Sayid is in it!
