Anyway, Remember when he saw the decying, rotted body of the pilot? (By the way, they would never show something like that on broadcast news…) He noticed there was no ring on his finger. He freaked out and called the messed up news station and told them that it wasn’t the pilot, that the real pilot wouldn’t take off his ring. I just think this has something to do with more connections.
Throughout the show we’ve discovered that most of the people on the island are connected somehow in their pasts. Jack’s dad especially. He was Claire’s father, a friend of Ana Lucia, he un-knowingly convinced Sawyer to kill the man in Australia. Anyways, I got a bit off track there, but I think we should look for more clues about the pilot of the plane and the pilot of the helicopter.

Hi, the guy’s name was Frank Lapidus and he didn’t call the station. He called the Oceanic information number that was displayed during the broadcast. It would be interesting to see whether the real Seth Norris was wearing a wedding ring in the pilot episode.
He was wearing a wedding ring on the same arm, the same hand, the same finger. Here’s some proof:

I guess the obvious link between Frank Lapidus and the Lost universe was that he was supposed to be the pilot of Oceanic 815 and then, for whatever reason, dropped out/got replaced at the last minute. That’s certainly a point that needs clarifying!
Hi AC, dont you think it cruel of whoever faked the plane crash to put a body disguised as Seth, considering he is married and that his wife would see this. If Frank was supposed to be on the plane in Seth’s seat, then Frank would have survived the crash. I think that Seth was killed because the ‘smoke monster’ realised that this was not Frank. But Frank is supposed to come to the island.
Stitch, to be fair, Seth’s was not the only body replaced. All 324 passengers’ bodies were ‘replaced’ and their relatives and loved ones made to believe everyone had been killed. I guess the cameras could get to the cockpit more easily and get the footage and so it was poor old Not Seth Norris’ deceased body that hit the (incredibly gratuitous) TV news!
And yeah, I have thought that about Seth; that he was instantly attacked by the Black Smoke because he was ‘wrong’.
I’m not really sure what you are trying to say. I guess you think Frank has a larger role to play and maybe knows some of the losties prior to the island? This really isn’t a theory.
Ok, no one will probably see this since the post is old now, but I wanted to add this. The other day I was watching the pilot episode when Jack, Kate and Charlie find Seth Norris still alive. I tried really, really hard to see a wedding ring on that pilot’s finger (while he was still alive), and I did not see one. Was this poor production continuity, or does it mean something? Anyone else notice this?
