My guess is nothing will happen and the numbers relate to something other than days on the island. Good thought though.

Well the numbers relate to many things on the island, if you were a producer that thought of the numbers, wouldn’t you like something to happen on day 108? If only to fuel the suspicions of the fans? Of course, it may not even be mentioned that its day 108, even if it is, but still. something big is about to happen, and day 108 is about to come.

I think it would be cool if something happened on day 108.

yeh, definitely something big about to go down, and episode 9 is titled ‘the shape of things to come’ so if that is day 108, that would make sense. you’re probably right, the writers do like to link the numbers with stuff alot.

They’re currently around Dec 27th to 29th 2004, which would make it day 97 to 99. So we’ve got around 9-11 days, probably too many to cover in the remaining 5-6 episodes, but could be close (and if there were the 16 epsiodes as planned then maybe it would have been).

But if anything big does happen on day 108, I think it will be the writers having fun with the numbers rather than anything significant.

i agree with that, i dont think that someone is gonna go “holy crap is day 108 and all this stuff is going on”. im just thinking that the writers may plan something big for the 108th day, for us fans to go all “oooooo” about.

Day 4: Locke finds vincent. Boars rumage through corpses in fuselage

Day 8: Jack trapped when cave collapses, Charlie rescues him, jack conceals knowledge of Charlies addiction Sayid tires to triangulate distress call, Locke knocks him out. Charlie throws heroin into fire.

Day 15: Claire has a nightmare in which she sees Locke behave in a strange way. She wakes up in the morning thinking someone took her baby. Later in the day, Claire experiences another nightmare. This time, she thinks someone injected something into her baby. After 3 days of walking, the remaining tail-section survivors make a camp in the jungle near a river.

Day 16:Hurley decides to find out who all the crash survivors are. He gets the flight manifest from Sawyer. Sayid returns to the caves with news of the Others. Hurley announces that Ethan wasn’t on the plane. Claire and Charlie are kidnapped by Ethan. Charlie is hanged and left for dead by Ethan, but revived by Jack. Boone and Locke discover a hatch. Ethan starts “taking care of” Claire in the Staff, using drugs to convince her he is acting in the best interest of her and her unborn baby.

Day 23:Eko gives Nathan a banana. Goodwin releases Nathan from the pit, then breaks his neck and hides the body.

Day 42:Jack tells Shannon that Boone has died, and blames Locke. Locke appears at Boone’s funeral. Jack attacks Locke, claiming he could have saved Boone’s life if Locke had told the truth. Shannon steals a gun from the gun case and tries to kill Locke, but Sayid stops her. Sayid interrogates Locke about the Beechcraft and confiscates the Nigerian smuggler’s gun from him. Sayid demands that Locke take him to the Hatch. George W. Bush is re-elected as President of the United States. (off-Island event that Ben is aware of, and later shows Jack on the Hydra television).

It may appear that some days are fairly boring, but theses are summaries so who knows.
