The reason for my theory is that the whole thing needs to appeal to the kind of people that watch lost. Folks that either bieleve in weird stuff or are fasinated by it. Also, the producers know that they have to eventualy explain what is going on.The show needs to have a bit of reality mixed in.

The island is the earth, or the consciousness of the earth. The bermuda triangle is rumoured to be a place where the earth comunicates to the other planets. I picked this jewel up on a documentary i saw years ago. That is a bit far fetched I know, but so is black smoke that can batter a person to death. The triangle is in the deepest part of the atlantic ocean, the deepest part of the earth is on the exact opposite side of the earth. Fact. Flight 815 went down in this area. That can explain why the island is able to control events in other parts of the world. In the first or second episode Locke says to Walt, about backgammon, one is light and one is dark. Clue? Just watched “Meet kevin johnson” and my mind is working overtime.

Zzzzz…..huh? Oh, sorry, it’s just that I’ve heard this one before. MANY times. I don’t intend to come across as rude, just bored with this idea.

Yup, heard this before. Yes its understanable and the easiest way out for the producers/writers should they themselves get lost as to the truth of the island.

That would fit if you believe that the earth itself is some sort of sentient being. Personally, I don’t believe so, but some do.

Don’t be so quick to discredit this well thought theory. While some points are a tad skewed….others beg contemplation. +1. Stick to your guns soldier!

    Huh?

Seriously, there is no Burmuda triangle. Many, many more ships and planes have been lost without a trace in the Great Lakes. And the exact opposite part of the Earth from the Great Lakes is…um…India.

Well that would explain where all of America’s customer service jobs have gone…they dissapeared into the Great Lakes Triangle and showed up in Bangalor.

    :)

I would like to see the evidence about the allegation that the bermuda triangle is where the earth communicates with other planets—what comic book did that come from?
