I also like the Des/Penny kiss. I think they will reunite by the end of this season. It would be hard to believe that he is not going to get off the island for good, since he is already on the freighter. I cannot think of a scenario that would put him back on the island.

While all are good choices, you did say “spectacular” which to me would indicate “heat”. Everyone else can range form romantic to tender to tearful to etc, but only one choice in the “heat” department and that would have to be Kate and Sawyer.

I wonder whether it will be Penny/Desmond and will be spectacular not so much in heat but because it will span time differences and then,perhaps, end up in the same time and space. The first time-travelling kiss?… I don’t know about you but I’ve got withdrawal symptoms. I need a new episode!

personally i really want it to be kate and sawyer! other than des and penny, they are the only two whose kiss i can imagine being spectacular. and we know they can deliver on the spectaculr kisses, as seen many times before!

i would love a desmond and penny reunion but i think it is too soon at the moment. i think it would be good if it is through penny that the oceanic 6 return to the island, then her motive would be to rescue desmond.

jack and juliet would also be great but i dont think it would be described as spectacular.

kate and jack - i would hate it personally,(and not just cos i hate the couple) but i think there is a strong possibility that it is these two. i don’t think that it would be appropriate for jack and kate to share the “most spectacular kiss ever” in the finale when they are already leaving people behind. the finale should focus more on the goodbyes between friends and loved ones, not a kiss between two people who are getting off the island together.

jin and sun would also be really good. the goodbye between those two made me cry in season 1, and it probably will do again this season.

I think that it could be Desmond and Penny. I hope it is! If it is them,it would add a wonderful climax to the feeling it gave me when he reached Penny by telephone from the freighter and gave him his constant ! .I think that scene was one of the best ever of their seemingly doomed romance making that connection.A kiss to seal their love. Oh yes! +1

I think that it will be Penny rescueing Desmond on a boat (which would be not on the island). That would be spectacular.

Personally, I think Kate acts like a 15 year old who can’t decide whether she likes the nice guy who does her homework or the bad boy who smokes cigarrettes out behind the bleachers. She doesn’t deserve Jack or Sawyer, and neither are a particularly good catch, based on their own histories with women. As for Juliet - she’s on the rebound from Goodwin and I don’t think her relationship with Jack is emotionally strong enough to justify the term “spectacular”. Sun & Jin? Nothing spectacular about a them kissing since they’ve done it before. Unless if by “spectacular” you mean “unbelievably heartbreaking and depressing” because Sun must leave Jin behind, then I guess.

I’m for Desmond and Penny. Seeing Desmond reuinited with the love of his life, Penny, whom he’s not seen in 8 years?!?! How would that not be spectacular?

On that note, I am anxiously awaiting the LOST spinoff series called Desmond’s Day. It would be an hour long drama/comedy, like the semi-successful CBS series “Early Edition” meets “According to Jim”. In each episode, Desmond would travel through time to “course correct” some insignificant event, such as the paperboy throwing his paper on the roof, his forgetting to gas up the car, or his dog eating the Christmas ham.

Of course, no matter what he did, things would only end up worse than before he tried to fix them. Penny would have a good laugh at his expense and comfort his efforts to be honorable until the next week’s episode. Booyah! Instant success!

Eeeew… yeah… Ben and Annie… As much as I think Michael Emerson is an incredible actor, I have no desire to see him kiss anyone on screen.

Sayid and Nadia would be a good one. But Sayid is a slut. He seduced a 20 year old, insecure girl into his “tent” and did naughty adult things with her until she had visions of Walt. Plus, we’ve just seen him recently, all be it in the future, doing naughty adult things with Elsa. He can’t seem to keep his satellite phone in his pants. Nadia should move on and find someone who isn’t such a player.

I think it will be Claire and Aaron. That would be a sad moment.

I’m in on the Des Penny one—and I think it would make most sense for the storyline for the season as well.

Well the kiss has to be BIG so, can it really be jack and kate or juliet? They have only known each other a short while. I know I know they have been through alot, but dez-pen or claire and aaron would make more sense.

I’m hoping for Kate and Claire but I don’t think that’s going to make it pass the edit room floor. So Instead I’ll put my money on an post-island Kate and Jack with him starting his downward spiral soon after. They realize they aren’t in the same place with Kate being Aaron’s new Mom and Jack having some serious guilt about leaving the island. He rejects her in a “turn about is fair play” moment and the sexual tension between them continues. Even after this, I think I still prefer the Kate-Claire idea!!

My choice is Vincent and Walt.

Actually, I’m in the Des and Penny camp. They are really the only characters worthy of producing a ‘spectacular kiss’. I can’t see how Jack and Kate, Jack and Juliet , Kate and Sawyer, or any preferred mixup of the trifecta can measure up… it’s half expected.
