That darn gun….

Just finished watching Kevin Johnson episode again. I noticed something odd. During Michael’s scuffle with Mr. Happy, didn’t the gun fire? The next time we see the gun again it’s when Michael was trying to kill himself again. There is a reveal of the six bullets but none of them look like they’ve been shot. Did Michael reload the sixth bullet? Am I reading too much into this? Probably both.

This is a really good point. The transcript on Lostpedia says the gun did fire. Why is it full when he looks at it again in his apartment? This could be proof that Tom did switch the guns during the scuffle and gave Michael one that he knew wouldn’t fire.

I, myself, never bought into that whole “the island won’t let you die” stuff. I think there is a rational explanation why the gun didn’t fire, and this could be proof. Why isn’t this getting more attention and more votes? C’mon people. +1.

it was a revolver and looked like all revolvers I have fired then opened to empty the chamber and reload.

i have thought about this ALOT! of course, i know nothing about guns, so i don’t know if there is a logical explanation without tom switching the guns. all i can think of is that he DID switch them, but then would they have made it more obvious? so we could clearly see him do it? i guess that would give too much away. anyway +1 cos this is an interesting point and i hope that darlton will address this issue.

I know Michael is supposed to be as thick as pigpoo, but even he would have noticed that the chamber was full when he knew he had fired it. He must have reloaded it!
