Michael did not die in the car crash by luck. He didnt die by the gun because of Ben. Not because the island wouldn’t let him. Ben wouldnt let him
Michael was not able to shoot himself because Tom switched guns on him. Tom had a very similar gun to Michael in the alley. Tom gave the gun back to Michael and told him to go ahead and try to kill yourself. He gave him a gun that would not fire. This convinced Michael that he could not kill himself, so he had to work with Ben and the Others. It was all a set up by Ben and the Others in order to get someone to work for them on the boat. Ben is in control at all times.

If you look back in that episode when michael actually pulls the trigger and the gun doesn’t go off. He then opens the gun and all six bullets are still their. but in the alley when Michael struggles with Mr. Friendly the gun goes off. so either michael put a single bullet in the missing revolver spot (which I think is unlikely) or the gun was switched by Mr. Friendly. thats what I think.
Huh, are we watching the same episode… Michael had a gun and Mr. Friendly had a gun…right?! Michael’s gun went off and Mr. Friendly knocked it from him and pulled out his own gun…. Then he gave Michael his gun.
Fake gun or not…. is it a coincidence that Michael survived the car crash?!!
if michael cant kill himself haw come when syid asks him what he is doing on the boat he said im here to die ???
I just rewatched that scene and can totally understand why you could think Tom switched the gun.
Michael shoots, Tom grabs the gun away(with his left hand) and knocks Michael down. Michael hits him withe the bottle, Tom draws a gun with his right hand.
But i really don’t think Lost plays that way. I really believe the island won’t let Michael die. That just seems way more “Lost” than Tom switching the gun. Thats almost as cheap a move as having this all be a dream of Hurleys or some junk. but thats just me
hahaha leteralus, if this was all just a dream of hurly’s people would come after the writers in mobs
I think there were 6 shells in the gun b/c it was a revolver, and it would have the spent casings until someone emptied them.
