This is about the collective unconcious.

You can just tell by the names the writers of lost use in the show like Hawking and a few others I forgot that quantum physics is a pretty big piece of the whole lost pie.
Firstly I want to introduce you to the concept of a “multi-verse” that is that alternative outcomes to each event are played out in alternate realities, for example in one universe Sawyer gets Kate pregnant and after a lot of love triangle stuff (or is a love square these days?) eventually they settle down together, but in another universe Sawyer has AIDs which he passes on to Kate and Kate then in turn passes it to Jack who passes the AiDs baton to Juliet and they all die.
Ok so take a few moments to absorb all that and then read on……………
Now I want to marry this idea with another idea I had about Theta brain waves, and rather than there being possibilities played out in alternative universes I want to propose the possibility of all possible thoughts existing together within a universal mind, that is you could believe that all pigs fly and at the same time that all pigs are crippled within a universal mind.
Now a quick explanation of brainwaves: Beta (when you are completely on the ball) Alpha (awake but not on the ball) Theta (dreaming) Delta (deep sleep). The these all represent steps towards your subconcious. Now before I go on I’d like to point out that I am a neuroscientist, quantum physicist, and a medical doctor amongst others just like Sam Beckitt in Quantum Leap and I really know my stuff, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, I’m used to it.
Anyway we know that Dharma had remote viewing station somewhere or other. Remote viewing, which I know a shitload of facts about, is a way of tapping into theta conciousness. And this is what the island does it taps into and ransacks the conciousness of everyone who ever sets foot on the island!
Don’t aplaud till you’ve heard the evidence fans!
When the plane crashed the monster crashed around the jungle like crazy! This was because of all the new conciousnesses on the island that was just flooding into the collective unconcious. The collective unconcious was drinking from a fountain, that was pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain. This caused the monster which is the physical manifestation of the collective unconcious to have a fit. Which is what all the noise in episode one was about.
This is what the island does it taps into peoples thoughts and emotions and then the peoples thoughts and emotions influence the reality of the island.
The proofs all here:
Hurley was secretly porkin’ on all the dharma grub, so the island brought his imaginary friend Dave to life and Dave tried to make him jump off a cliff because he felt so guilty about eating all the food that he thought he might as well jump of a cliff and end it all, and maybe his body will wash up on shore and they rest of the camp could eat him if the worst came to the worst.
Boone wanted to bone Shannon again, when he was in jungle it made him see Shannon then the monster chased them into the bamboo and started crushing it pushing them both together and then after that she started nagging him and insulting him as usual and he wish she’d get eaten by a monster so the monster came and killed her.
This is what we have been missing when trying to interpret lost, instead of looking at the whole pie we have just been looking at the filling in a single slice of pie, some of the better theorists on this site are looking at the whole pie but they are viewing it through a keyhole and that is their mistake.
I hope that wasn’t all too much for everybody.
Any questions?
I’m deciding not to vote + or - 1 because:
1) multi-verses have been more or less discredited by the producers.
2) this theory, and it’s loosely tied together sub-theories, have all been promoted by multiple people:
a) who do not have three degrees in advanced science and a “sh*tload” of knowledge about remote viewing
b) who explained their reasoning with greater clarity and better evidence.
3) I don’t think Hurley would want people to eat Dave.
That’s not to say you’re not onto something. You may be completely correct. Sam Beckett would be proud of you!
Your tone comes across (to me) as pompous and rude and I dont agree with your theory. So, -1. Good Butthole Surfers reference, though.
Something tells me you’re not quite a neuroscientist, quantum physicist, and a medical doctor…
The only thing in this theory that I can remotely agree with is, if the smoke monster is “collective unconsciousness,” that would explain his tree-smashing and earth-shaking antics in the pilot episode.
