TPTB have us…if they didn’t this site would’t exist. I’ve been reading theories here since about the time the sky turned purple. Let me just say that as much as the show has mindf*cked me…some of the posts on this site have amazed me to equal if not a greater level. I have only recently begun to post and comment here myself, possibly because some of the greats have been silent. The valid posters here are already established…it would take too long to shout everyone out. I am however sad that greats like ProfO, JazProf and Kat have been silent for so long. It would be no exaggeration for me to say that their posts kept me coming here on a daily basis.
Anyway, to my point. I myself have great faith in the writers to answer our questions in a fair and timely matter. We have invested so much thought and energy into an ussembled mosaic of storytelling. It reminds me of the first time I saw Reservoir Dogs. We have been introduced to so much new information that is currently driving the plot, yet almost nothing is being done to answer the long-standing mysteries that have aleady been established. What’s everybody’s faith level for a fair settlement by TPTB?
most, if not all, of the mysteries specifically created as plot devices need to be soloved—the numbers, the orchid video, the whispers, the nigerian plane in the south pacific, the arctic listening station, and Danielle’s past would be a good start.
Grymm, I have faith in the writers. Why wouldn’t I? They’ve delivered a tremendous show for over 3 years that has held us all spellbound.
That being said, I would like answers to the whispers, Danielle’s past, Libby’s connection to Dharma, if any, the nigerian plan crashing in the South Pacific in the same place where Eko crashed and how long life has existed on the island.
Neither Annie nor Lockeko mentioned the Black Smoke! Seriously, I know it’s the oldest, most-asked question about Lost, but that doesn’t mean I’m not interested… The answer to: What is the Black Smoke? That’s it. That’s what I want. And I am happy to wait until the very last episode to find out (which, I suspect, won’t be far from the truth).
Smokey is #1 for me too, and like AC says, they will hold it out for the last. In the meantime, each time we see it, we get the tiniest additional clues, so at least that’s something.
