LOST-Theories.com

Does Lost mirror some of JJ Abrams other plotlines?

That being said, I had a theory I had been throwing around in my head. It is not fully fleshed out, but since I will no longer be coming to the site, I thought I would throw it out and maybe someone else can run with it. Or trash it. Whatever.

Setting aside all the sci-fi/fantasy wacky stuff that we pick apart till the cows come home, I think there is an overriding theme of a corrupted father/grandfather who will do anything to control the powers on that island. I think that in the end, this story will be about Ben trying to regain control of his grandson, Aaron, who will have some sort of ultimate power and communion with this island.

I was a fan of JJ Abrams other show, Alias. I think that Ben Linus is very much like Arvin Sloane. He’s evil, then he’s good, then he’s evil, then he’s good. You never know when you can trust him, then he saves your life, only to try to kill you again later. He nearly destroyed his own long-lost daughter Nadia (who he searched for for years and years) in order to control the world. Oh, he was a bad, bad man. I think Ben is going to end up being just like him, only chasing, manipulating and exploiting his grandson, Aaron.

I know this has not been thought through much, but I wanted to get it out there as my last visit to LT. I apologize if this has already been discussed and/or debunked.

Thanks!

I am very sorry that happened to you. That’s never happened to me on this site. People are a bit insulting but that is the farthest I saw.

I think there is more to Ben then meets the eye.

Well, SoLost - I am sad that that happened to you and your 1 year old. We are certainly sad to see you go. There is always somebody out there who wants to ruin it for everybody else. Take care of yourself and your two children.

As far as your theory goes, that would certainly be a nice plot twist if Ben was Aaron’s grandfather but I just dont see any good evidence that he is Claire’s old boyfriend’s father. People say they look alike - okay. People say “what about the painting that he painted” - okay. But that is it, right? That is all the evidence? For some reason, I am still not convinced. I do think that Aaron is important to the island and that Ben knows it, but as far as a blood relation, I just am not convinced. I guess we will see.

Again, take care of yourself and I am sorry that your run on here had to end like that. Keep watching Lost and keep coming up with your own theories, even if you dont post them here.

    (Thanks a LOT, fake blondegop!!)

Sorry to hear about this happening to you hon. Unfortunately this site attracts as many weirdos as it does good people. There is a little war going on and its escalated out of all control.

Like the thought of the power mad Grandpa. Sort of like an evil Santa!

SoLost, I’ll add my regrets that your stay here had to be cut short due to someone’s childish, trollish action.

I’m still not convinced of the relationship between between Ben and Aaron, but I love your comparison to Sloane! You hit that one right out of the park!

Sorry to lose you, enjoy Lost and your children.

So_Lost, I am so sorry that this happened to you. Hopefully the person who posted those pictures will be either caught or give up & you will feel comfortable coming here again soon. I have never seen Alias, but I am thinking of getting the DVD collection and watching them. Best of luck to you and your family. To everyone: I clearly did something to piss someone off enough to steal my identity & use it to reek havoc. I am sincerely sorry for provoking this twerp & for the damage it had done to the site & it’s members.

I dont know who is real anymore and who is not. Is Blonde the real one? BlondeGop and BlondeGop are both fakes? Is that what is happening here? I am so confused…

I managed to keep the lockeko imitators all in order - I knew who was who - but I am lost on this one, guys. Can one of the reputable users (AC, Annie, dabiatchishere, etc) please clear this up for me? Thanks.

Boothead I assume your comment was ironic. Five year olds could teach us a thing or two about the web I reckon!

There are certainly a few pre-schoolers on this site. Boom boom.

(Ah the old ones are the best).

Appolobar, blonde is the real thing. Her user name was hijacked by someone who is misusing it.

i have to disagree with your theory. i’ve seen no evidence at all that ben is aaron’s grandfather. i could be completely wrong, and it wouldn’t be the first time with this show, but i just don’t see it

Actually, I never thought of that before. I’d completely forgotten about Claire’s old boyfriend and how he might fit into the mix. We know now that Christian Shephard is also Aaron’s grandfather, so maybe that’s one of the battles going on here. Good job, so_lost; I’m sorry to see you go. +1
