Hi. This is my first post, so sorry if this is something really obvious or has been said before and thanks to everyone else for the great theories!
In “I Do”, Danny says that Jack wasn’t on Jacob’s list. In “Par Avion”, Mikhail says that Kate is not on the list because she flawed, Sayid is weak, and frightened and Locke because he is angry.
We know that Locke is not one of the Oceanic 6, but may have somehow changed Jacob’s mind about his worth to Jacob or the island or has refused to leave and is therefore now on Jacob’s list and allowed to stay. We don’t know (yet?) enough about Danielle’s background to decide if Jacob has a use for her. Maybe if she has died, she was killed for not being on the list.
3 of the Oceanic 6 were not on the list and Danielle may now be dead – maybe Jacob/the island had no more use for them, which is why they could leave/are now dead.
Could Sun, Aaron and Hurley also be on Jacob’s list?

i’m not sure i believe Ben about the list. Jacob’s not talking to him anymore and he’s lying about the communications and the looking glass to the ‘others’ he may be lying about the list and cayyring out his own agenda.
Why do you think Jacob is not talking to him anymore, ZeeeC? Did he say that somewhere and I missed it?
HHHmmm that’s just the assumption i’ve made based on Locke hearing jacob say ‘Help Me’ but it may not be the case. Also I’m not sure that ben’s trying to help Jacob/island anymore becasue he has had such a big part in the events that led to the island becoming exposed to the outside world. e.g . making John doubt that the buttons should be pressed, pretending to shoot Sayid, Jin and Bernard, which made Jack more determined to call the freighter.

if there really is a jacobs list, then maybe all those that stay on the island are on the list?
Remember in “The other women” when juliet was talking to ben about how those taillie kids missed their parents, but ben said they had to stay cos they are on jacobs list. so i am thinking that the oceanic 6 are not on jacobs list but lockes team are. maybe that is why claire and aaron get separated…

Question: When Mikhail says to Kate she is not on the list, he says he remembers Sayid and Locke. I found this strange remember them from where? He then says to Locke that he faintly remembers him but he was different now and doesn’t finish his sentence.
I always assumed that Mikhail was referring to the dossiers that were created on the survivors of Flight 815. I am sure that Sayid’s history would have been a memorable one and that Locke’s one would have provided information about his inability to walk. Though how they got these dossiers and when they got them is a perplexing question that has yet to be answered.
