I think Ben some how got contact with his people and told them were to go and who to kill. Then He told Alex to go some place and she will be safe there. Alex, Carl, and Danielle went too. When the got shot what happened?
I think Ben’s people shot Carl. Also Ben was so protective of Alex and tried to brain-wash carl. You can tell Ben does not like Carl at all. So Ben got contact with his people and told them to kill Carl. And when Carl got shot I saw blood. So he probly died. But also What about Daneille? What happened to her? I kept on replaying that part over and over again. I did not see any blood at all. I think Ben told his people not to kill her. I think Ben’s people shot her with a dart. Any ways, why would Ben want to kill her? He had no reason to.

i think there was blood on Danielle and but i agree she is not dead Maybe Ben just wanted Carl dead so Alex wouldnt get pregnant
her wound definitely looked more superficial than Carl’s wound
It might be the freighter people in colusion with Ben. Or it could be the others on the orders of Ben, or just another plot wist.
but I’m beginning to think that Ben is with some members of the freighter. Reasons for believing this:
Ben stoped the rest of ‘the others’ from contacting the outside world and lied to them.
There is still an emergency phone line on the freighter Ben could be in comntact with the boat.
Ben proclaims to want to protect the island BUT he has had more than jst a little to do with the reason that the island has been found, e.g. planting doubt in Locke’s mind about continuing to enter the code & pretending to shoot sayid, Jin and bernard which resulted in Jack being more determined to call the freighter.
Jacob is no longer communicating with Ben.
It could be that Ben has had Alex kidnapped so that he can get off of the island without the ‘others’ realising he is double crossing them and allowing them to die.
Alternatively the others shot Karl and Danielle and are going to perform an abortion on Alex.
Danielle is not dead though, she probably has the same ability to heal as Mikhail.
Ben may ahve wanted to slow danielle down so she doesn’t find out where the temple is or that ben is in leaguie with certain parties on the freighter.
I think we are definitely meant to believe that it was the Others sent by Ben who shot Karl and Danielle, and that is one of the reasons I am inclined to believe it is the freighties. Another reason I have is that discussion that one guy had with Frank about a special mission or something. I agree that Danielle is still alive.
I too think Danielle is alive. Don’t know about Karl though. I also think it’s the freighties who shot them.
I think Alex is already pregnant. Did you see the way she was holding her hand over her stomach?
