And here’s part 12, which is sort of the conclusion to part 11.

In this installment, Fred reveals his grand theory as to what’s REALLY happening on the island.

There are only 6 installments after this one. The big finale is installment #18.

Don’t forget… t-shirts and other merchandise with Fred’s baffled visage can be found here: http://www.cafepress.com/thegcemporium/3637147

wow. first to post. I guess the early bird gets the worm.

Finally some answers. But only leads me to question WHY did the memory implants not work on Fred. What so special about him? (not to imply he’s not special but you know what I mean)

Well, shell, unfortunately all we’ll ever know is how he knows they don’t work: because they’ve been tried before. I’m guessing that it relates to his “gift” somehow. That is… I presume implants wouldn’t work on Walt either. But note that direct mind control was attempted with both Fred AND Walt.

Direct Mind control..hmm.. so WHAT is cauisng Fred to see those clowns (and how the heck did he confuse clowns with clones? was that a call out to the audience from the first post when I suggested Fred Nieztch was a famous clown? Plus the clown bank.. ) Also, it was Fred himself that was writing “Annie died on mars” over and over in his journal. What’s causijng that to happen.

lockeko: Fred thinks Sayid is totally awesome. And Charlie, too. But he has a “thing” for Kate.

shell: Well, Fred’s decided that the most important thing about the clowns is that they all looked exactly alike. Meaning they’re clones. Perhaps his own mind just changed “clones” to “clowns” because he’s particularly freaked out by clowns and the dream was freaky (and would have been freaky even if they’d been thousands of identical… I don’t know… lockekos…).

    kat: Yes… like a snowflake… :-)

Truly magnificent I love your vids!

p.s. If PG was in London she could mesmerise me in seconds and have her wicked way with me! (actually no hypnosis needed I love ladies!!)

keep the good work coming! +1

  29. jazprof Sep 15, 2007 12:31 p.m. Comment: 29

O My goodness! kat, you caused a magic pee incident here…LOL!

Well that probably helped clear the mind, heh, so I had a couple thoughts:

Fred thinks that the sleep experiment he participated in was the abduction—the sleep experiment triggered Fred’s break with reality. From then on he is having trouble distinguishing dreams from reality. The dreams of a thousand clowns/clones—are these in fact dreams then, or is this a distorted version of the reality Fred is in (while his Lost experience is a hallucination)?

Fred imagining that people with cancer are taken away and replaced with body doubles—how will that connect with his mother’s death? Fred’s gift like Walt’s gift—Walt seems to have killed his mother, does Fred think he killed his?

Vincent wanted the raft torched; Vincent is an alien. With the raft torched the others wouldn’t have been able to take Walt. The others are aliens. Are these two different alien factions?

  30. ProfOzone Sep 15, 2007 2:52 p.m. Comment: 30

    Thanks, dab!

    And, wow, thanks solarchap!

jaz and kat… Fred doesn’t really associate being abducted with the sleep study, but the abduction did happen during that time. Is there a connection in spite of Fred’s lack of awareness of one? Hmm… Fred does, however, recall that the dreams started during the sleep study, and now he thinks they were prophetic (and maybe even connected to his abduction). But as far as Fred is concerned, participating in a sleep study at the University of Michigan (and having outstanding mac & cheese there) isn’t connected to the abduction or dreams.

    Or is it??!!!

As for Walt… the Others didn’t need to abduct him because Vincent had him under control… Walt only had to be abducted because he refused to follow Vincent’s orders the second time.

  31. jazprof Sep 15, 2007 3 p.m. Comment: 31

O, right, right, that was the time I morphed into Sawyer and spent the rest of the afternoon in self (ahem) admiration. sigh Good times.

I’m still thinking the 1000 clown/es may have something to do with his present reality…ahhh I’m definitely going nuts—just thought, the dog depositied a Penny in the bank—Penny! Is THAT important!

Well the Fred/Walt connection is important I think—both the possibility that Fred feels or has some responsibility in his Mom’s death and there’s Walt’s ability to be places he’s not supposed to be! Maybe that’s a klugh? Fred is using his gift to be on the island, but wasn’t actually in the crash?

  32. jazprof Sep 15, 2007 3:09 p.m. Comment: 32

Ah OK was posting while Prof was…so Fred is perhaps projecting himself to the island while he sleeps/dreams. He is actually there in the same way that Walt is in places he shouldn’t be. Fred’s “abduction” is really an earlier version of sleep/dream travelling. hmmm wonder about Walt—why do the Others/Aliens want him on the beach. When Fred sleeps on the island would this mean he’s travelling back to where he’s come from? Are the clown/es the aliens? The control the dog. The dog puts something in the bank. Bank as a box as a lab? Is Fred in an alien lab? Ahhhh, get the straitjacket ready—I’m coming in for a landing….:-)

  33. jazprof Sep 15, 2007 5:13 p.m. Comment: 33

oh one correction re: Walt—the aliens don’t want Walt on the beach—they want everyone on the beach. and typo—”They control the dog.”

Additional thought—Fred has avoided contact with Rose supposedly ‘cause she would make him do chores. But according to this latest installment, Rose isn’t Rose at all but a clown/e of Rose—so that is why Fred is avoiding her. AND—Annie died on Mars—going back to my old idea that Annie is his Mom. Fred said she died of a brain tumor. Did she in fact die on Mars and also get replaced?

  34. Agent_XXX Sep 16, 2007 1:35 a.m. Comment: 34

    I found a clue!

Right out there on a horoscope chart…. “Mars in Cancer” The cosmic soul finds it difficult to perceive the testimony of Mars when it is in this sign due to being in its fall. For this reason, the native sometimes appears to lack some of the martial traits typical of athletes, warriors, police and other such hard nosed individuals who enjoy risk. This does not mean that they aren’t there. This position is somewhat reminiscent of the themes surrounding the movie “Psycho”. In “Psycho”, Norman Bates (Mars) is driven to insanity by his mother (Moon) because his actions are dictated by her emotional control over him. Pent up energy needs a way out, but the Moon contains it and keeps these actions from expressing themselves independently. As in the movie, there is the danger of domestic unrest or even violence. Frequently there is an unharmonious relationship with one of the parents. These natives often find it difficult to take an independent stand, and often seek the approval of others for their actions. They often ask advice on what they should so in various situations. On a physical level, they may experience problems with their stomach, with ulcers and the like due to too much stress. In a diurnal chart, the heat of the day amplifies the malefic character of Mars. Impulses become more difficult to control and the drive for some sort of resolution of the dilemma between self reliance and approval seeking is stronger. This individual typically has trouble with parents.

In a nocturnal chart, the cool and wet of night inhibit the malefic tendiencies of Mars, making impulse control less of a problem. If Mars is also above the horizon, this individual may become develop leadership qualities and eventually gains control of ones own domestic situation.

  37. Paintgirl18 Sep 16, 2007 11:44 a.m. Comment: 37

I just thought of something…. Regarding Fred and clowns….

In F.F. Fred Pt. 3, Fred decided that the bank should have a clown on it. Why? Because clowns are “creepy“…. OOH-KAAY!!! Now, Why he wanted something “creepy“… I don’t know!)

But what happens next is rather interesting. Although Fred wanted something that represented “creepiness“. He did not want it to dominate the bank! He saw a need to balance the creepiness… with what? With “cuteness“….hmmm…

Well, there has been discussion lately about Fred being either a “clone” or a “clown”. And if he is a clown, well, would that imply that he is “creepy“? Some might say that… Of course I never would!

But let’s just say if Fred is a “clown” and if he is in fact “creepy”; then, should there be something to balance him out? Something Cute perhaps? You know to “off set the creepy”? lol!

Well, I personally think that Fred’s cuteness out ways his creepiness! …by a lot actually! :)

  43. Occam Sep 17, 2007 10:52 a.m. Comment: 43

In fact, the merit should go to a workmate of mine. He was watching TV the other day, something about people who claimed to have been abducted by aliens. He told me they mentioned the relationship between EMF and hallucinations and/or unusual behaviour of the subjects. He pointed to me towards a possible cause for the Losties’ visions and dreams, even for Smokey.

I was just too lazy to make a full-fledged theory out of it, but I remembered Fred’s obsession so I thought I should drop the link over here.

As a side note, temporal lobe lability is related to… the temples.

  44. jazprof Sep 18, 2007 9:59 a.m. Comment: 44

    Yes, I’m getting the extra-large comfy version—c’mon in. :-)

I hope your teeth are going to survive this ‘cause I can hear them gnashing from here. :-) Gotta give you something to chew on. ;-)

Even though DocOcc’s great find there might suggest that Fred’s experience of abduction is illusory—I think he really is physically present on the island, but that he may be projecting his presence from somewhere else (and that he may share this ability to bilocate with Walt). Though Fred doesn’t associate the sleep study and the abduction—maybe the sleep study unlocked his ability to bilocate. And the abduction is the first time he does so—the aliens didn’t take him, he went to where the aliens were? Also about the Others being aliens, I’m not sure that since on the original Lost the others are humans, the same will be true in Fred’s story.

Somehow I think the idea of Rose being a replicant and Fred’s avoidance of her is very significant. And it also reminds me of what Agent said about the connections to Psycho in which Norman Bate’s Mom is still living inside his own head (after he has killed her). Fred’s father—a woman trapped in a man’s body. Is the same true of Fred but in a different and more sinister way—his Mom inside his head?

As to Fred’s unique snowflake qualities—I believe if we were to compare him to the producer or the writer or the gaffer—we could neither prove nor disprove their similarity due to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. Hmmm, will that figure into the whole clown/e concept.

  45. jazprof Sep 18, 2007 12:07 p.m. Comment: 45

katmandu, hmmm seems the producer needs some bilocation practice if he’s only managing to send his head back. Do you think maybe those Easter Island heads might be modelled on…? I mean look at the schnozzes on those babies.

The new one, he almost looks mad but has a mysterious Mona Lisa type smile? Previously, his picture had a shadow on the wall that was eerily similar to Jacob. Then then first one, up in the corner now, when he was sportin’ his new short hair, has head in a funny angle….possibly pointing out the temporal lobe?

  49. jazprof Sep 18, 2007 10 p.m. Comment: 49

jazzievil, eh, …at schoo I make them call me Dr. Evil …mwahahaha

shell, that is true about the short hair cut drawing attention to the temporal lobe—good call. Can’t help you out on that most recent one though, If I look at it for any length of time I wake up unconscious on the other side of the house.

yes, once again the no answers response—the producer is all talk and no trousers, is what I say.

Well let’s ask this one again—is the woman trapped in a man’s body clue ONLY about Fred’s Dad—a simple yes or no will suffice.

(Of course secretly jaz cares nothing about the answers…she just likes to elicit the occasional “Daaaang”)

  50. ProfOzone Sep 18, 2007 10:14 p.m. Comment: 50
