The ISLAND
Series 1 Finale:
Locke: We were brought here!
Jack: Who brought us here John?
Locke: The island!
Ok here goes, short and sweet..
The island hated Dharma - obvious from Jacobs reaction to the torch plus Bens comments about technology
The island wants to get rid of Dharma so it attracts the plane crrying the losties because each will serve a purpose for the islands agenda.
Lets look at each lostie and you will see each one served to rid the island of technology
Locke - Destroyed the Swan, destroyed the Flame, destroyed the Sub - yes Locke worked to his own agenda but look at the bigger picture of what the island wanted - to rid the island of technology
Eko - Built a church out of organic materials - led John to the destruction of the Flame (his stick)
Charlie - The only musician (that we know of) who could disable the beacon underwater - several reminders through Charlies dreams about saving Claire, the exact same motivation that desmond gave him before he went down there
Boone - Discovered the hatch intiallty with locke which led locke to blow up
Sawyer, Hurley, Kate, Sayid, Jin, Bernard - all play a part in the destruction of the others - (who are keeping Jacob/ island at bay) - these people are almost like the wariiors, the soldiers
Jack - the leader that keeps people motivated and engaged in achieving what he believes is getting off the island, but what actually is setting the island free once again
obviously there are many other characters, but maybe we havent found out why they are there yet, but we will
interesting read, but we know that Des failing to enter the numbers is what made the plane crash. Now I am not discounting the theory that each person has something to offer in freeing the Island. Again it comes down to the argument between faith vs science.
I agree they were brought there, but not by the island….
actually as stated by the produces themselves, it may not have been just des not pressing the button alone that brought them there!!
remember the whole course correction comments in the show, mayeb the island is orchastrating the course corrections
ask yourself was it just a coinicdent that the majority of the people on that plane served a putrpose for the island!!
you need to think deeper about it
DharmaSpy: Sorry, I’m going with Stip on this one.
DS: I have thought about it deeply:

that is a great read, and i agree alot, apart from Jacob not being real - but i dont think anyone else brought them to the island except the island still. a lot of your theory makes perfect sense and would look good if played out, but i think you underestimate the part the island itself plays in the actions of the losties
i think the black horse, jacks dad, walt appearing in the jungle to shannon or all the island messing with the minds of the losties to help it ultimately to free the island of all the technology
all the actions i have stated above have been about ridding the island of technology, i fail to see in your theory another explanation regarding this which is why i say perhaps think more deeply about the facts im talking about, not just the overall theory
