Never Ever Rub Another Mans Rhubarb

As the time loop theory seems to be the majot topic of conversation at the moment I thought it only fair to contribute :-
This may be slightley way out there for some people and I don’t blame you if you -1………………………… I can take it honest.
I think at some point Jack has a similar experience to Desmond, he even may have already had it (maybe at the point of the crash) maybe to come
When Jack had/has this experience he is flashed back to the time he squealed on his father and cost him his job. He changes the outcome and sits and says nothing in the meeting and his father continues to work in his as the chief of medicine or whatever he was.
This however changes nothing and Jacks father still dies in Australia.
Back to the point its my belief that Jack cannot change the outcome of what happened in Australia, Claire can. I think Christain was in Oz to see Claire and she is the one who tips him over the edge.
We can assume that in Jacks flash forward Christain may still be alive, so Claire changing the past and accepting Christain as her father may happen at some point in the show and change the future .
I think this will be the point that claire realizes that Jack is gher brother I think Christain and Claire will sit down for a heart to heart and Christian will tell her she has a brother and a photo of Jack will be shown. Claire will keep this under her hat for a couple of more episodes before revealing it to Jack.
However Jack still needs to get back to the island to change a decision that he has made, as he corrected the wrong one.
I don’t think what happned to Desmond will be an isolated occurance and I think we will see many more physical flash backs.
not to way out honestly,I think as well as dealing with what we know and observe we can second guess stuff and think outside the box on whats happening,I like the jacks tattoo post you wrote by the way!

I was with you right up until you said Jack keeping quiet at the inquiry changed nothing. At first i disagreed because losing his medical license was what drove him (at least partially) to drink. (I forget what sends him to Australia with AnnaLucia other than wanting to visit Claire).
But then you posed that CLAIRE changed something that saved Christian and that got me all…..dare I say it….excited.
Dude, if the plot turns that way where different people start changing things and a totally different outcome results, it would be freaking wild - it would be incredibly hard for the average viewer to keep straight, but the message being you can change your future would be really cool. +1 mate

Sleepz. I like it +1 Though I still think it will be Juliet that breaks the news of the siblings. That doesn’t change your theory though. So Cliare will already know about Jack before she meets Christian (in a loop) and be far more accepting of him because of her respect for Jack.
sleepz: i like your theory. This might explain why some people here saw something in Jack’s eye during the pilot episode (I think it was Solarchap’s post).
But I have a few questions / obeservations (as always):
1) Christian died of a heart attack, and not suicide. So do you think Jack felt responsible for his father’s death? Does he believe that what he said in the board room made Christian drink too much and caused his heart attack? Christian was already a drunk before that incident at the board room.
2) You said: ” Christain and Claire will sit down for a heart to heart and Christian will tell her she has a brother and a photo of Jack will be shown”. So WILL this still happen? When? After they get rescued? In that case, is Christian stil alive anyway? Or will it happen in a flashback before they came to the Island? In that case why is Claire not saying anything? Why wait?
3) For your theory to work, Claire needs also to have a physical flashback and be able to change her past, no?
I like all the ideas floating around here. I think that it will be Juliette tat gives away the relationship between Claire and Jack, or as some have said that they will find Christians wallet and see a picture of both of them.
sleepzie—I definitely like the idea that it’s Claire who changes the future in the FF, though not sure about Jack’s going back and changing his mind about getting his father reinstated (not sure why he would be going to Australia?—just Claire related?)
I also think Jack is going to have a similar path to Des—there’s got to be a reason why they are the two runners.
3) yeah for sure she needs to go back to whatever happened between her and Christain in hospital. Hey if its good enough for Des………….
I think Christian went to Oz once his relationship with Jack broke down in an attempt to ‘FIX’ things with Claire, I think she turned him away which led him into a alcoholic frenzy ultimatley leading to his heart failer.
This time round I think with the new found love for her own child Claire will be more acceptant of Christian and let him into her life which will be when the photo reveal occurs, lets face it she also nearly turned her back on Arron so she cant be to self righteous.

sleepz, I’m sure your use of caps were fully intentional. Are you implying Christian is doing a “Jack thing”? Does that mean Christian goes Jack, so Jack goes Christian —as we see in the FF?

Occam great catch i wonder who would, I think that the trip Christian took to Australia was an attempt to go Jack and in the initial instance he crashed and burned. However now that Claire herself is a parent who knows what the outcome may be
I know… or rather, I guess. Being a parent makes yourself look at your parents from quite another angle…

Mykel - you most certainly have permission to rub another mans rhubarb. My mind however I believe is fully expanded, the comment was just a joke I used back along and it sorta fitted. I have no gay issues whatsoever however in fact one of my very good friends is a bent a 3 dollar bill. top funny guy though. no issues here dood. Sorry if I offended.
