Could Desmond be Jacob?

— lostmusings

Just checking out what most of us presume was a close up of Jacob’s eye from The Man Behind the Curtain and it struck me that it kind of looks like Desmond’s eye.

Could Desmond be Jacob? Desmond is the only character that I can think of who we have been shown to be able to exist / experience different realities at different locations in the time /space continuum so I suppose it is possible.

This might also explain Ms Hawking’s insistence in Flashes Before Your Eyes that it is Desmond’s “path” to go to the island.

Sure would open up another interesting storyline if this is the case.

I’ve been doing eye comparisons since they first showed the eye. Here is my comparison to Desmond.

These are the other ones I’ve done. So far, though, Desmond does look the closest.

jbdean: Very good compilation of comparisons. I’m sticking to my guns that the closest match is Desmond, particularly after looking at your work. Of course, possibilities abound (it may not have been Jacob’s eye, Jacob may be someone we may not have met, etc. etc.) Thanks for sharing.

lostmusings: Glad I could help. :D But did I break a rule by posting my links? I see they’re not there now.

jbdean: Sorry for that. You didn’t break a rule. But, I changed the comments display tonight to strip HTML out of comments. There were some people trying to hack the site with malicious script and object tags, so I had to remove the ability to leave HTML in comments.

You can create links in comments, though, simply by putting in the URL. Any URL will get automatically converted to a link.

    Sorry about that.

jbdean: I edited your comment to make the URLs show up as links again. Sorry again!
