I had too many thoughts after reading ProfO’s latest theory concerning last night’s episode…here they are!
We all have so many questions! No, I didn’t see any dead children in the camp. Annie had to die somehow, maybe she died in childbirth too, or maybe she’s danielle (But I don’t think she is). Could be a double reason why the fertility issue is so important to Ben, if his mother and girlfriend died in childbirth. Boy was last night’s ep. a reality check for Ben or what ??? Man he was PISSED that Jacob talked to John. Mad enough to kill him. or try….I don’t think John is dead, or if he is, Jacob will heal him~Yes from his shack, just like he healed Juliette’s sister all the way in Miami from the island. There has to be a GOOD reason why all of the others are seemingly siding with John over Ben, aside from the fact that Ben is pure evil. Even his own daughter goes against him for John. And Richard siding with john over ben is the second biggest kick in the ass ben recieved last night. It appeared that from childhood, Ben and richard had been planning the purge for the perfect time, when Ben had acquired all the knowledge that he needed to keep up the facade of the DI still running the island. He was so emotionally scarred by this time that he killed his own father…same thing he wanted John to do, coincedence? Ben is their leader because he enabled the hostiles to have their island back and not be “bullied” by the DI, they owe him everything so they listen to him. Coupled with the jacob situation and Ben being the only one that can communicate with him. But that’s another thing, either 1) I don’t think Ben can communicate with Jacob in a way that you would sit down and talk to someone, only if jacob chooses to communicate with him, or 2) Ben is controlling jacob (keeping him prisoner in the shreiking shack with the sand gunpowder stuff around the perimeter of it. Jacob needs help and Locke can only hear him say it when he turns to leave. Maybe John wasn’t ready (faithwise) to see jacob, but jacob made sure he heard him because he is desperate. ~Jacob, i paused and studied the shot of him and this is going to sound crazy, but he looked like all the pictures you see of Jesus. But IMO he looked more like Horace Goodspeed, same hair and mustache, dunno. ~Richard didn’t age. why?Obviously Ben has aged. Why would some and not others? I know that the writers have said that the losties are not dead, but they haven’t said that everyone on the island isn’t dead. Maybe Richard is dead and a spirit, much like Jacob? I can’t think of a reason for this one. ~I posted on another theory that maybe the manifestations, Eko’s brother, christian, now Emily are Jacob reaching out to specific people that he thinks can help him. ~How are Jacob and smokie related? Are they one in the same?

I really like your idea that maybe Annie died in childbirth. But, I don’t think that Ben meant to actually kill Locke. He was going to shoot him again if he didn’t tell him what Jacob said. When Lock told him and then Ben did not shoot him but said he hoped Jacob helped him. Why didn’t he shoot him again to make sure that he was real dead?
A couple more points. ~The volcano that was mentioned last night, could this be the reason the four toed statue was destroyed? I think so…. ~Kate said Jack and Juliet took off right after she told them about Naomi, why? Did they go to the med station to get the tape recorder to play for everyone? Doubt it, but it’s possible. This is not a spoiler because I have no evidence, but I think the “snake in the mailbox” is going to be the revelation that Jack is an Other and has been all along. The reason I think this is because after the show last night, the last thing you hear during the preview for next week’s episode is someone saying ” My people are coming NOW!” ~It sounded like Jack’s voice to me! Or maybe it was Karl and I’m completely wrong.
Maybe he didn’t mean to kill him…but test Jacob by shooting him….
I ttoaly thought that maybe the little girl was Danielle too untill I remembered that Danielle is French and has a accent…but you know you might be on to something with the whole dieing because of giving birth….maybe that is why he also took Alex when she was young and claimed her as his own……I know they need kids but why should he be the father? It makes sence to me. Or maybe the young girl dieing is part of a bigger story. I don’t know about you guys but seeing Ben as a yougster makes me feel sorry for him but then again I still don’t like older ben….he’s rude and I seriously thought he had problems last night when he was talking to no one untill I saw that he was in deed talking to jacob…..

Seems like everyone, or some people are flipping out at the use of the term “spirit” How else would you guys describe jacob?
