I keep hearing that Desmond is traveling through time since the Desmond -centric episode.

But I’ve been under the impression he is psychic and can see future events before they happen. That much is obvious right?Where has time travel came in to all of this? What am I missing? (Be nice, I am probably missing ALOT on the subject of time travel:)

I have watched a whole lot of Lost. With that said I have no idea at this point what exactly is going on with Desmond. From re-watching the seasons, over and over, as I’m sure most of you have also done, one thing about Desmond stands out to me as a possible clue. How many times have we heard Desmond say ” See ya in another life brother.” I know he has said this at least three times, and I found it curious. No big theory behind it as I find Desmond’s story line one of the more compelling on the Island. Just thought it was worth pointing out.

The key, I think, is to think about time in a different way. You don’t “travel” into the “past” or the “future”. There is really only the present, wherein the past and future are encoded. In theory, we should be able to “call” the future in the same way we “recall” the past. Likewise, we should be able to “replot” our past just as we’re able to “plot” our future. It’s about seeing all time as one point, rather than as spread out in a line that we’re traveling on. This is the notion I base my theories on, anyway.

I definitely see what you’re saying now about time travel. VERY interesting…hense the quote,”See ya in another life brother”. Thanks!
