Ok;
The Others keep seeming to be killing people for no reason. Just in war. What if the Others were helping the universe in some sort of course correction thing. They killed Nathan. Goodwin then states that Nathanas not a good person. This could mean that he would interfere with the universe, in a way which the others would not like. The DHARMA were threatening to discover the island and put it on the map of the world. Which would change the entire habitat of the island. The island would probably be bombed whilst Russia and usa were fighting for it. So the DHARMA had to go.
