hurrrrley

— Steve

ok

The Hurley Bird bears a striking resemblance to the New Zealand parrot, the Kakapo [1]. A normally flightless parrot now able to fly draws a parallel to John Locke regaining the use of his legs on the Island. -lostpedia. i think this shows how the island can do anything. that this bird was brought to the island by the dharma iniative people and the island gave it the ability to fly.

He DID NOT say Hurley! After the first season when people thought it did the producers made a joke of it in the second season. The prducers have said it DID NOT say Hurley. Sorry.

Definitely says Hurley and Kat you are correct the subtitles do say Hurley, very interesting discovery though and intriguing that the New Zealand Kakpo has evolved as a flightless bird so its natural state is flightless, whereas John Lockes natural state is having functional legs. So to me the island has restored him to original condition. If the island gives the bird the ability to fly its a different game all together and thats completely messing with evolution.

    part of the experiments…

Scientist A: “let’s see how the Losties react when a bird flies at them and screaches one of their names” Scientist B: “Dude, you’re a moron, what did you expect they would do? I got a better idea. Let’s have them be attacked by a polar bear…no wait we already did that one… I got it! Let’s have Kate see a black stallion, like the one that helped her get away from the marshall. It’ll freak her out.”

…and on and on the beakers swirl with different elements being admitted to the laboratory…
